    摘要: A process for forming an overcoat by the two-coat one-bake method wherein a base coat composition and a clear coat composition are applied to a substrate ##STR1## wet-on-wet and thereafter cured at the same time by heating, the process being characterized in that the base coat composition is an aqueous coating composition consisting primarily of: (I) an aqueous dispersion or solution of a polymer containing a crosslinkable functional group, (II) a crosslinking agent, (III) a coloring pigment, and (IV) water, the clear coat composition being a coating composition comprising: (A) at least one resin selected from the group consisting of (i) a resin having at least one epoxy group and at least one hydroxyl group in the molecule, (ii) a resin mixture of (ii-1) a resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule and (ii-2) a resin having at least two hydroxyl groups in the molecule, (iii) a resin having at least two epoxy groups in the molecule, and (iv) any mixture thereof, (B) a crosslinking agent comprising a compound having at least two noncyclic acid anhydride groups and represented by formula (1) wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 50 carbon atoms, R' is a bivalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 50 carbon atoms, the hydrocarbon groups R and R' containing or not containing an ether linkage, urethane linkage or ester linkage, and n is an integer of 1 to 500, and (C) a curing catalyst.

    摘要: The invention provides a lactone-modified organopolysiloxane compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are the same or different and each represents a methyl group, an ethyl group, a n-propyl group, an isopropyl group or a group represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 is a methyl group, an ethyl group, a n-propyl group or an isopropyl group, X is a saturated divalent hydrocarbon group having 2 to 14 carbon atoms, and m is an integer of 1 to 3, provided that at least one of R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is a group represented by the formula ##STR3## wherein R.sub.5, X and m are as defined above, and n is an integer of 1 to 100. The polysiloxane compound of the invention is excellent in compatibility with various organic resins.

    摘要: The invention provides a process for preparing a polysiloxane-containing resin which comprises copolymerizing a polysiloxane-type macromonomer with a vinyl monomer, characterized in that the polysiloxane-type macromonomer is one prepared by reacting about 70 to about 99.999 mole % of a compound (A) represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms or phenyl group, and R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent alkoxyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or hydroxyl group with about 30 to about 0.001 mole % of a compound (B) represented by the formula ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 each represent hydroxyl group, alkoxyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms with the proviso that R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 can not be aliphatic hydrocarbon groups having 1 to 8 carbon atoms at the same time, and n is an integer of 1 to 6, the polysiloxane-type macromonomer having at least two free functional groups selected from hydroxyl groups and alkoxyl groups per molecule, and the macromonomer having a number-average molecular weight of about 400 to about 100,000.

The vehicle composition includes an organic liquid, finely divided particles of a vinyl polymer dispersed in the organic liquid and a polymer of alkoxysiloxane having an alkoxy group of 3 to 5 carbon atoms dissolved in the organic liquid. The vehicle composition is prepared by polymerizing at least one vinyl monomer in the organic liquid which has the alkoxysiloxane polymer dissolved therein, the organic liquid being capable of dissolving the vinyl monomer but incapable of dissolving the vinyl polymer obtained therefrom.
