    摘要: A liquid cooled semiconductor device is provided. The device includes a semiconductor die, a heat spreader, a wetting material, a sealant, a substrate, and a base. The spreader is mounted to a substrate such that a first side of the spreader is exposed on one side of the substrate and that a second side of the spreader is exposed on an opposing side of the substrate. Attached to a first side of the spreader is the semiconductor die. The wetting material is used to provide a thermal/electrical connection between the die and heat spreader. Sealant is provided between the die and the heat spreader to encapsulate and contain the wetting material. The substrate is mounted to the base, whereby the second side of the spreader is exposed to allow fluid to flow across the second side, directed within a channel defined by the base, and transfer heat away from the spreader.

    摘要: A throttle body and an air control system that integrates the electronic engine control modules, sensors, actuators, and associated wiring on a throttle body is disclosed. In one version of the invention, there is provided a throttle body including a throttle body wall defining an airflow passage in the throttle body, a movable throttle plate that substantially conforms to the interior dimensions of the air flow passage, an engine control device (such as a sensor or an actuator) attached to the throttle body wall, and engine control electronics mounted to the throttle body wall in spaced apart relationship with the engine control device, the engine control electronics being electrically connected with the engine control device. In another version of the invention, there is provided an air control system including a throttle body having a wall defining a first airflow passage in the throttle body, a movable throttle plate substantially conforming to the interior dimensions of the first airflow passage, an air intake manifold having a wall defining a second airflow passage, the air intake manifold being attached to the throttle body such that the first airflow passage and the second airflow passage are placed in fluid communication, an engine control device mounted to the air intake manifold, and engine control electronics mounted to the throttle body wall, the engine control electronics being electrically connected with the engine control device.

    摘要: A method is provided for applying a fluid to a plurality of locations on a non-planar substrate. The apparatus used includes a movable base and an array of pins connected to the base. Each pin has a distal end which is vertically movable with respect to the base independently of the rest of the array of pins. Each distal end is adapted to transfer fluid to a location on the substrate by having a greater affinity for the fluid than the fluid has for itself and a lesser affinity for the fluid than the fluid has for the substrate. Accordingly, the distal ends may be dipped in the fluid and moved into contact with the substrate such that the distal ends may collapse toward the base as the distal ends engage the substrate to facilitate further movement of the base toward the substrate for application of fluid to each of the plurality of locations.

The novel apparatus has a compression headcap which provides a contained environment to direct and to aid the flow of pressurized viscous material through the openings in the stencil. The compression headcap includes two generally parallel wiper blades that are biased into sliding communication with the stencil. Longitudinal diffuser plates guide and equalize the flow of the viscous material into the volume between two generally parallel wiper blades.

    摘要: A method of forming a position measurement system includes melting a surface of a substrate formed from a first material, wherein the surface defines at least one groove therein and wherein the surface is melted within the at least one groove. The method also includes, concurrent to melting, depositing a second material into the at least one groove to form a mixture of the first material and the second material. The method further includes solidifying the mixture to form an indicator material that is distinguishable from and metallurgically bonded to the first material, and depositing an alloy onto the substrate to form a corrosion-resistant cladding that covers the indicator material and the surface to thereby form the position measurement system. A position measurement system is also disclosed.
