The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus which can restore, from a color and sensitivity mosaic image acquired using a CCD image sensor of the single plate type or the like, a color image signal of a wide dynamic range wherein the sensitivity characteristics of pixels are uniformized and each of the pixels has all of a plurality of color components. A sensitivity uniformization section uniformizes the sensitivities of pixels of a color and sensitivity mosaic image to produce a color mosaic image, and a color interpolation section interpolates color components of the pixels of the color mosaic image M to produce output images R, G and B. The present invention can be applied to a digital camera which converts a picked up optical image into a color image signal of a wide dynamic range.

The present technology relates to an image processing device, image processing method, electronic apparatus, and program, capable of performing motion detection allowing the effects by periodic noise such as flicker to be reduced. An image processing device includes an intensity ratio calculation unit configured to calculate a ratio relating to an intensity of a signal value at a predetermined position in an image captured under different exposure conditions, and a contribution calculation unit configured to calculate a contribution indicating whether an intensity ratio calculated by the intensity ratio calculation unit is derived from a periodic noise component or is derived from motion. The periodic noise is, for example, flicker. The intensity ratio calculation unit calculates the intensity ratio from one image captured using an image sensor in which pixels for which the different exposure conditions are set exist together. The present technology is applicable to an imaging device.

An apparatus and a method are provided which have a simple configuration to perform highly accurate demosaic processing. A local region of interest being a region to be processed is selected from a raw image format, and a standard color image is generated based on an input image. Further, a similar local region is selected which has a phase different from that of the local region of interest, and is determined to have high similarity to the local region of interest based on the standard color image. Further, the local region of interest and the similar local region are combined to generate a local region image set with RGB, having each RGB pixel value set to each pixel position of component pixels of the local region of interest. Further, the local region images set with RGB corresponding to different local regions of interest are combined to generate an RGB image having each RGB pixel value set to each pixel position of component pixels of the input raw image format.
