摘要： In a method for determining the reset time in a pressure sensor that detects the pressure in a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and emits a corresponding pressure signal, with the pressure curve in the combustion chamber having at least one high-pressure region the reset time is determined as a function of at least one pressure value detected in the high-pressure phase, so that it is possible, within the sensor, to determine a favorable time at which to reset the drift, based on the pressure range. In the method, information about the auxiliary rotation speed is determined based on the pressure curve of the compression phase and is then used to generate the reset time, the method entails only slight circuitry-related expense and can therefore be implemented even in an ASIC without complex signal processing, and the method functions in almost all known engine operating states.

摘要： A laser light is focused through a first lens to a spot, defocused to a spot with a known diametral dimension, and then passed through a second rotatable lens having a first surface comprising a plurality of corrugations in the form of a sinusoidal curved and a second planar surface to produce a line of light of controlled width. The line of light is disposed to illuminate the kerf in a workpiece on a power saw. The line of light may be rotated and translated laterally to align it with the saw blade and, prior to cutting the workpiece, to illuminate the location of the kerf on the workpiece as well as the dimension of the width of the kerf.

摘要： An integrated medical testing device includes a testing meter and lancing device, the meter having a housing, a display, a test element opening, a firing mechanism and a navigation mechanism integrated with a lancing device. The lancing device is at least partially located in the housing and includes a tip having an opening through which a lancet extends upon firing. Various mechanisms can be used to extend the tip from the housing and to prime and fire the lancing device. The lancing device can accommodate a single lancet or a cartridge having multiple lancets. If a cartridge is used, various mechanisms can be utilized to position an unused lancet for firing after a test has been conducted. The relative locations of the lancing device and test element opening are such that the integrated meter and lancing device can be used with a test element inserted in the test element opening. The integrated meter and lancing device can include status indicators that reflect the state of the lancing device.
