摘要: In order to prevent strong bending stress given to outer rings of thrust ball bearings of power roller assemblies and to improve the durability of the outer rings, a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission has thrust needle bearings which absorb thrust load given to the outer rings as well as allow the outer rings and corresponding trunnions to be shifted from each other. Preferably, the entire circumference of the pitch circle of the balls of each thrust ball bearing overlaps with a load-absorbing region, which is one or more annular and/or arcuate regions having the same width as the needles of needle bearings radially arranged in said regions in order to absorb thrust load.

摘要: In a toroidal-type continuously variable transmission including input and output side disks and a pair of power roller bearings, rolling elements of the power roller bearings are made of a steel which is to be case hardened, a medium-carbon steel or a high-carbon steel which is such a steel as containing carbon in an amount of 0.2 wt % or more, and are subjected to a carbonitriding process and hardening and tempering treatments. The toroidal-type continuously variable transmission has a long life by improving the rolling life of the power roller bearings, the input side disks, and the output side disks.

摘要: A toroidal-type continuously variable transmission provides an input side disk disposed on an input shaft, an output side disk disposed on an output shaft, and a power roller for transmitting motive power of the input shaft to the output shaft while engaging both the input side disk and the output side disk, in which the input side disk, the output side disk, and the power roller made of a material are subjected to either a carburizing and grinding process or to a carbonitriding and grinding process so that effective carburized depths of the input side disk, the output side disk, and the power roller are limited to a range between 2.0 mm and 4.0 mm. The toroidal-type continuously variable transmission is capable of improving not only the rolling contact lives of the traction surfaces of the input and output side disks as well as the traction surfaces of the power rollers, but also the fatigue fracture lives of the input and output side disks and power rollers.

摘要: In a light-emitting device including a base body portion which is configured by integrally forming a reflection case and a terminal holding portion provided at the rear portion of the reflection case and lead members to be inserted into the base body portion, portions of the lead members extracted outside of the base body portion are bent along the terminal holding portion to form a pair of connection portions to be connected to the pattern of a wiring board, respectively, a plurality of radiation plates are provided at the lead member. The plurality of the radiation plates are extracted from the same surface (lower surface) of the base body portion. Since the plurality of radiation plates are provided, at the time of being the radiation plates, the base body portion is prevented from being applied with an excessive force and the damage of the base body portion can be prevented.

摘要: Wobble caused between an operation knob and a casing for housing the operation knob is suppressed as small as possible due to the heat contraction at the time of a molding process. As a result, the operation knob can be downsized and so an assembly of the operation knob and the casing can be miniaturized as compared with the conventional ones. The operation knob and the casing for guiding the movement of the operation knob are formed by composite resins by using a dichroic molding method, and then the operation knob and the casing are separated after being molded to obtain an assembly. Due to the heat contraction at the time of the molding process, a necessary guide clearance is formed between the operation knob and the casing after the assembling of the operation knob and the casing. The operation knob is allowed to move due to the guide clearance.
