However, a shift change ordered by a last order signal is carried out, without shift changes ordered by an initial order signal and intermediate order signals being carried out, if the shift gear mechanism has not started its operation.

摘要: A hydraulic control system for controlling an automatic transmission includes a regulating valve which reduces a line pressure in accordance with a control pressure, provided in accordance with vehicle driving conditions, to provide a coupling pressure for coupling a specific one of frictional coupling elements of the automatic transmission. The regulating valve is enabled to provide the coupling pressure independently from the control pressure when a coupling pressure for another frictional coupling element higher than a specified level.

摘要: A multiple stage automatic transmission includes a main transmission mechanism, a sub-transmission mechanism connected with the main transmission mechanism to for introduction of a torque therefrom, and a frictional element connected with the sub-transmission. The engaging force of the frictional element is changed at least by two steps in accordance with a shift mode without changing a hydraulic pressure applied for actuating the frictional element. A shift shock, therefore, can be obviated.

摘要: A control system of an automatic transmission includes a torque converter, a lock-up clutch for directly connecting input and output members of the torque converter, a pressure control valve which changes a hydraulic pressure to control an engaging force of the lock-up clutch, and a pressure regulator, disposed in an engaging passage, which supplies hydraulic pressure to engage a frictional element. The pressure regulator adjusts a primary pressure and produces an output hydraulic pressure corresponding to a control pressure introduced into a control port of the pressure regulator. A control pressure supply device is provided for introducing the control pressure, controlled by the pressure control valve, into the control port of the pressure regulator. The number of parts can be reduced without producing any inconvenience.

摘要: An automatic transmission control system for selectively locking and unlocking a plurality of frictional coupling elements is provided within an automatic transmission so as to place the automatic transmission into one of various possible gears. The control locks a specific one of the frictional coupling elements with locking pressure when the automatic transmission performs a specific gear shift and unlocks it by reducing the locking pressure when causing it to perform, an opposite gear shift reverse to the specific gear shift. The locking pressure is increased by way of a relatively high level of shelf pressure during the specific gear shift and reduced by way of a relatively low level of shelf pressure during the opposite gear shift.

摘要: A throttle valve operating cam of an automatic transmission and an output control member of an automotive engine are interconnected so as to cooperate with each other by a cable consisting of an outer tube and an inner cable. The inner cable is connected to the throttle valve operating cam and the output control member and one end of the outer tube is connected first to the automatic transmission. The other end of the outer tube is regulated in position relative to a cable fitting member secured to the automotive engine and then fixed to the cable fitting member secured to the automotive engine.

The clutch outer and inner cylinder portions of each of the first and second multi-plate clutches are provided in the axial direction, and there is provided a support wall portion that is connected with the input shaft and supports the clutch inner cylinder portion of each of the multi-plate clutches.

摘要: A control system for a torque converter includes a lock-up clutch provided in the torque converter for connecting input and output members of the torque converter directly, and a shift valve having first and second spools disposed in series in a sleeve for shifting an introduction of an engaging and releasing pressure acting on the lock-up clutch in accordance with positions of the first and second spools. The first spool is subjected to a first hydraulic pressure at one end thereof. The second spool is subjected to a second hydraulic pressure at one end thereof opposite to the one end of the first spool. The first and second spools are subjected to a third hydraulic pressure therebetween. The control system further has a first control device for controlling the first hydraulic pressure, and an adjusting valve for controlling the releasing pressure of the lock-up clutch. The shift valve provides the first and second spools with first, second and third positions corresponding to a converter condition, lock-up condition and slip condition, respectively. The shift valve is shifted between the second and third positions when the releasing pressure is relatively low so that the releasing pressure is continuously changed irrespective of the shifting action among the first, second and third positions of the shift valve. An abrupt change in the engaging force of the lock-up clutch is prevented.

摘要: In an automatic transmission (AT) in which an input shaft (Input) and an output gear (Output) are disposed on the same axis and three clutches (C1-C3) and two brakes (B1, B2) are selectively operated to provide six forward speeds, first and second planetary gear sets (GS1, GS2) are configured to consistently reduce the speed of input rotation and output the speed-reduced rotation, thereby enabling downsizing of them. The first and second planetary gear sets (GS1, GS2) are arranged in a transmission case at both the axial ends thereof. Third and fourth planetary gear sets (GS3, GS4) are connected to each other to have four rotation elements in combination, thereby constituting a Simpson planetary gear train. One of the four rotation elements (a fourth carrier (PC4) in an illustrated example) is connected to the output gear (Output). Rotations input and reduced in speed by the first and second planetary gear sets (GS1, GS2) are input to sun gears (S3, S4) of the third and fourth planetary gear sets (GS3, GS4), respectively. First to third clutches (C1-C3) and a first brake (B1) are arranged to surround the first and second planetary gear sets (GS1, GS2).
