    Abstract: [Problem] To make it possible to perform quantitative examination of slight weight unevenness of a material, and to provide a method for manufacturing a carbon fiber composite material in which weight unevenness is suppressed through the examination step. [Solution] The above problem can be solved by a method for manufacturing a deposit containing a thermoplastic resin and carbon fibers and having a side of 300 mm or more, wherein the composite is manufactured through the following steps. Step 101: an examination step of examining the weight of an aggregate of carbon fibers or the deposit non-destructively. Step 201: a step of ascertaining weight unevenness on the basis of the result of examination in step S101. Step 301: a step of adding an aggregate of discontinuous carbon fibers and/or a thermoplastic resin to a weight-lacking area on the basis of the weight unevenness of step 201 so as to reduce the weight unevenness.

    Abstract: A composite material includes a thermoplastic matrix resin and carbon fibers A including carbon fiber bundles A1 in which Li/(Ni×Di2) is 6.7×101 to 3.3×103, and a thermoplastic matrix resin. The carbon fibers A have a fiber length of 5-100 mm and the carbon fiber bundles A1 are contained in an amount of 80 vol % or larger but less than 100 vol % with respect to the carbon fibers A and wherein removal of the matrix resin from the composite material gives a carbon fiber mass which, when compressed to a thickness of Tf, has a repulsive force P of 0.05-1.00 MPa A method for producing the composite material including subjecting a composite composition to an impregnation treatment with a compression/impregnation device.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for inspecting a material to be inspected using ultrasound waves, the method including the following step 201 to step 301, in which step 201 is performed in a condition where: the surface temperature of a material under inspection—atmospheric temperature >2° C., and inspection using ultrasound waves in step 301 satisfies: a refractive attenuation rate ≤1.5%. Step 201: blowing a fluid from a blowing port onto the material to be inspected. Step 301: inspecting the material to be inspected using the ultrasound waves after step 201 or at the same time as the step 201.
