    摘要: Embodiments provide a sensor insertion tool (SIT) that provides a motive force for insertion of an analyte sensor into/through skin. A SIT may be releasably locked to one or more components of a sensor insertion system, such that components of the sensor insertion system remain securely coupled during sensor insertion. A SIT may include a release member that unlocks or uncouples the SIT and the other components after sensor insertion. In various embodiments, a SIT may be a component of a sensor insertion system configured for assembly by an end user, a health care professional, and/or a caretaker prior to sensor insertion, and may act in cooperation with other sensor insertion system components. Additional components and methods of assembly and use are also provided herein.

    摘要: A thermal barrier coating and deposition process for a component intended for use in a hostile thermal environment, such as the turbine, combustor and augmentor components of a gas turbine engine. The TBC has a first coating portion on at least a first surface portion of the component. The first coating portion is formed of a ceramic material to have at least an inner region, at least an outer region overlying the inner region, and a columnar microstructure whereby the inner and outer regions comprise columns of the ceramic material. The columns of the inner region are more closely spaced than the columns of the outer region so that the inner region of the first coating portion is denser than the outer region of the first coating portion, wherein the higher density of the inner region promotes the impact resistance of the first coating portion.

    摘要: A spill resistant lid includes a sealing bead in pressure contact with the inside wall of a container to be closed when the lid is in sealing position with respect to the container to substantially seal the container. The lid includes a first cylindrical wall and a second cylindrical wall spaced apart to form a receiving channel for the top of a container to be sealed. A ridge extends into the channel from the first cylindrical wall to hold the lid in place. The sealing bead extends into the channel from the second cylindrical wall. A central lid portion closes the area inside the second cylindrical wall and applies sealing pressure to the bead. In a preferred embodiment a third cylindrical wall in the central lid portion is joined to the second cylindrical wall by a web. The relative positions of the second cylindrical wall, the web, and the third cylindrical wall are deformed when the lid is in sealing position on the container and such deformation causes the bead to apply sealing pressure to the inside container wall. The central lid portion also preferably includes a container bottom platform and container receiving groove or secondary container platform for receiving and holding the bottom of a container stacked on the lid.

The deformable section is at least partially separable from the central lid portion so it can be deformed in an over center manner or other manner such that deformation of the deformable section toward the raised portion results in the deformable section assuming a stable open position exposing an opening or hole through the lid into the container and deformation of the deformable section from open position results in the deformable section assuming a stable closed position over the opening or hole.
