    摘要: A liquid coating composition for forming a silica-based coating film on the surface of a substrate such as a semiconductor silicon wafer. A partial hydrolysis product of an alkoxy silane and an alkoxy or phenoxy compound of pentavalent antimony are dissolved in an organic solvent. As compared with a trivalent antimony compound used in the prior art, the pentavalent antimony compound as an additive is very effective in respect of the improvements in the uniformity and increased thickness of the silica-based coating film prepared from the coating composition as well as storage stability of the coating composition over time.

    摘要: An improved silica-based film-forming composition for diffusion of antimony in the doping works of semiconductors is proposed which comprises an organic solvent, a partial hydrolysis product of an alkoxy silane compound and an antimony compound dissolved in the organic solvent. The antimony compound in the inventive composition is an alkoxy antimony or aryloxy antimony compound so that the problem of corrosion of the coating apparatus can be entirely avoided without decreasing the dopant concentration in the semiconductor substrate, as well as to provide a film-forming composition which is advantageously stable in storage.

    摘要: An optical semiconductor device includes an optical semiconductor element, a metal pattern and at least one thermal conductive material. The optical semiconductor element has a first optical waveguide region and a second optical waveguide region. The second optical waveguide region is optically coupled to the first optical waveguide region and has a heater for changing a refractive index of the second optical waveguide region. The metal pattern is provided on an area to be thermally coupled to a temperature control device. The thermal conductive material couples the metal pattern with an upper face of the first optical waveguide region of the optical semiconductor element. The thermal conductive material is electrically separated from the first optical waveguide region.

    摘要: An optical semiconductor device has a heater, an optical waveguide layer, a first electrode and a second electrode. The heater is provided on a first semiconductor region and has more than one heater segment coupled or separated to each other. The optical waveguide layer is provided in the first semiconductor region and receives heat from the heater. The first electrode is coupled to a connecting point of the heater segments adjacent to each other. The second electrodes are electrically common and are coupled to other ends of the heater segments in opposite side of the connecting point respectively.

    摘要: A television receiver includes a volume control circuit (4) for controlling levels of sound signals corresponding to a left channel, a right channel, a center channel and a surround channel and speakers (6 to 10) corresponding to these channels. The television receiver further comprises a test tone circuit (11; 18), a microcomputer (14) and a character display circuit (16). The test tone circuit (11; 18) supplies a test tone of a prescribed frequency sequentially to the speakers (6 to 10) through the volume control circuit (4). The microcomputer (14) provides a command to the character display circuit (16) so that a CRT 17) displays which speaker is currently supplied with the test tone as well as volume levels of the respective speakers.

    摘要: An FM/FMX stereophonic receiver is capable of receiving an FM or an FMX stereophonic broadcast signal. The FM stereophonic broadcast signal includes a stereo sum signal and stereo difference signal, whereas the FMX stereophonic broadcast signal further includes a compressed stereo difference signal and an FMX ID signal indicating the FMX stereophonic broadcast signal. The FM/FMX stereophonic receiver has a stereo demodulator for receiving said broadcast signal and for producing left and right stereo signals, a detector for detecting the field strength of the receiving signal, and a noise reducer, which may be a circuit for changing the mode from stereophonic mode to monaural mode or a high cut circuit for attenuating the signals of high frequency region, for reducing noise signals contained in the left and right stereo signals. The FM/FMX stereophonic receiver further has a detector for detecting the FMX ID signal and a disabling circuit for disabling the noise reducer when the FMX ID signal is detected by the detector. Instead of the disabling circuit, a timing control circuit may be provided for changing the timing at which the noise reducer starts to activate in response to the detection of the FMX ID signal.
