摘要: A method and system of matching features in a pair of images using line signatures. The method includes determining a first similarity measure between a first line signature in a first image in the pair of images and a second line signature in a second image in the pair of images; determining a second similarity measure between the first line signature in the first image and a third line signature in the second image; comparing the first similarity measure with a first threshold value; comparing a difference between the first similarity and the second similarity with a second threshold value; and if the first similarity measure is greater than the first threshold value and the difference between the first similarity and the second similarity is greater than the second threshold value, the first line signature and the second line signature produce a match.

摘要: A sensor system monitors deflection of turbine blades of a wind turbine. The system includes a first component configured on the turbine blades. A second component is configured on the tower at a height so as to detect the presence of the first component as the blades rotate past the tower. The second component generates a corresponding measurable parameter or value that is indicative of distance between the blades and tower. The second component is disposed substantially completely around the circumference of the tower so as to detect the first components at any rotational position of the turbine nacelle relative to the tower.

摘要: Systems and techniques to implement augmented virtual environments. In one implementation, the technique includes: generating a three dimensional (3D) model of an environment from range sensor information representing a height field for the environment, tracking orientation information of image sensors in the environment with respect to the 3D model in real-time, projecting real-time video from the image sensors onto the 3D model based on the tracked orientation information, and visualizing the 3D model with the projected real-time video. Generating the 3D model can involve parametric fitting of geometric primitives to the range sensor information. The technique can also include: identifying in real time a region in motion with respect to a background image in real-time video, the background image being a single distribution background dynamically modeled from a time average of the real-time video, and placing a surface that corresponds to the moving region in the 3D model.

摘要: An electronically controllable anti-lock brake actuation system for automotive vehicles, including a pedal actuated dual-circuit master brake cylinder, and braking pressure generators actuatable by an electronic control unit. Each of the braking pressure generators has a piston slidable in a cylinder bore from an initial position, each piston separating a first working chamber, to which each one wheel brake of the vehicle is connected directly and the master cylinder is connected by way of a closable hydraulic connection, from a second working chamber and is connected to the master cylinder where the stepped piston is operable to achieve a braking pressure generation or boosting. In one embodiment, first and second electromagnetically operable separating valves are inserted in the connection between the first working chamber and the master brake cylinder, the connection between the master brake cylinder and the second working chamber being effected exclusively by way of the second separating valve, and the initial position of the stepped piston permits a return stroke in opposition to its actuating direction. In another embodiment, no connection exists between the first working chamber and the master brake cylinder. The second working chamber is connected to the master brake cylinder by way of a closable hydraulic connection, and the stepped piston is operable only so as to achieve a braking pressure generation. The closable connection is achieved via an electromagnetically operable valve interposed between the second working chamber and the master brake cylinder, and the connection is open in the valve's first switch position and, in the valve's second switch position, the master brake cylinder is isolated from the second working chamber and a connection is established between the first and the second working chamber. The initial position of the stepped piston permits a return stroke in opposition to its actuating direction.

摘要: A hydraulic braking system with slip control, comprising a working piston guided within the brake pressure generator, a booster piston of a hydraulic brake force booster for actuating the working piston at least one wheel brake connected to the brake pressure generator and an electrically excitable auxiliary pressure source adapted to be connected to the brake force booster, a control and regulating electronic unit for detecting the wheel rotating pattern and for controlling the wheel braking pressure by pressure modulating valves. An electronic sensor is provided for detecting the relative movement between the pressure rod and the booster piston, the output signals of which are capable to influence the excitation of the auxiliary pressure source. This will permit the brake force boosting, if need be, to be effected independently of actuation forces put in manually, with anti-locking control/traction slip control functions being readily exercisable at any time.
