    摘要: The present invention mainly relates to non-aqueous electrolyte secondary batteries. The present invention intends to provide a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent cycle characteristics and excellent storage characteristics.The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery of the present invention includes a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material, a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode active material includes secondary particles each being an aggregate of a plurality of primary particles, and the primary particles have an average particle diameter of 0.8 μm or less. The secondary particles each contain aluminum atoms, and the content of the aluminum atoms is larger in a portion near the surface of each of the secondary particles than in a portion near the center of each of the secondary particles.

    摘要: In a valve operating system designed to open and close intake valves of an internal combustion engine by an electromagnetic force, a first electromagnetic driving device for electromagnetically driving a first intake valve capable of opening and closing a first intake valve bore and a second electromagnetic driving device for electromagnetically driving a second intake valve capable of opening and closing a second intake valve bore are controlled by a control device in a manner so that when the engine is in a predetermined operational state, the first intake valve is opened and closed in a condition in which the second intake valve has been closed and stopped. Thus, it is possible to produce a swirl equivalent to that produced by changing of the lift amount, to provide a reduction in consumed electric power and to achieve a reliable engine operation, e.g., starting.

    摘要: A supporting structure for rocker arms for engine valves includes an engine having a cylinder head, a valve provided on the cylinder head and adapted for either of intake and exhaust purposes, a valve-operating mechanism for operating the valve, the valve-operating mechanism including a rocker arm abutting on the top of the valve, to thereby operate the valve, and a pivotal structure for pivotably supporting one end of the rocker arm. The pivotal structure comprises a ball-like portion, a spherical concave portion shaped in a form substantially correspondent to the ball-like portion and engaged with the ball-like portion, and an elastic member disposed at an aperture end of the spherical concave portion and adapted to hold the ball-like portion in the spherical concave portion.
