The light introducing section (65) has an inclined surface (67), which is inclined from a surface of the light introducing section towards a surface of the light guide plate main body (64). The inclined surface (67) has a directivity converting pattern (68) for converting a directivity expansion in a thickness direction of the light guide plate of the light entered to the light introducing section (65) to directivity characteristics tilted towards a direction parallel to a surface direction of the light guide plate. The directivity converting pattern (68) has a structure in which a plurality of V-shaped groove structures (68a) are lined.

    摘要: An ion gun system includes an ion gun for irradiating an ion beam; an electric power supply unit for supplying electric power to the ion gun; two mass flow regulators for introducing each of two types of gas in the ion gun; a control unit connected to the electric power supply unit for working as ion gun control means for controlling electric power supplied to the ion gun from the electric power supply unit; and a control unit connected to the mass flow regulators for working as mass flow control means for controlling the flow rate of gas introduced from the mass flow regulators in the ion gun. The control unit as mass flow control means is provided with a function of changing the set value for the flow rate of each of the two types of gas to another set value by changing it stepwise within a range where the ion gun is working stably. Accordingly, shortening of film formation time can be attained.

The power to be applied to the electron gun 3 is controlled so that a transmission or reflection light quantity value that is measured at each time point by an optical film thickness meter 10 becomes equal or approximately equal to a standard light quantity value stored in a standard light quantity value data storing device.

    摘要: An optical member having improved durability characteristics and a process of producing an optical member are provided. The optical member has an antireflection film on a substrate, wherein an outermost layer of the antireflection film is a layer containing, as a major component, vapor deposited silicon dioxide. The outermost layer is further externally provided with a fluorine-containing water-repellent layer. The optical member has the following characteristics: (1) after the water-repellent layer is initially provided, a stationary contact angle (stationary contact angle before rubbing) to water is 104° or more; and (2) after a chamois skin is dipped in water at 25° C. for 5 minutes, and the surface of the water-repellent layer is then rubbed 10,000 times by the chamois skin while applying a load of 500 g, a stationary contact angle (stationary contact angle after rubbing) is from 0 to 10° smaller than the stationary contact angle before rubbing.

    摘要: An electrooptic effect element of this invention has first, second, and third electrodes. The first and second electrodes are formed on a substrate having an electrooptic effect, in order to form a high-frequency electric field for polarizing a light beam, thus constituting a microstrip line, as in the conventional element. The third electrode is spaced apart from the second electrode on the substrate in order to form another electric field for canceling the polarized light by the high-frequency electric field. In an electrical signal waveform measuring apparatus of this invention, an electrical signal obtained from an optical detection system coupled to the electrooptic effect element is fed back to form a closed loop in the third electrode.

    摘要: The invention relates to an exhaust gas cooling adapter that is arranged between an exhaust port that is open to a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine and an exhaust manifold, and that includes an exhaust gas flow path through which exhaust gas flows from the exhaust port to the exhaust manifold; and a coolant flow path that is formed inside of an adapter wall surrounding this exhaust gas flow path, and that cools the exhaust gas that flows through the exhaust gas flow path. There is a curved portion in the exhaust gas flow path. Also, a peel inhibiting portion is formed on an inner peripheral surface of the exhaust gas flow path in a region farther toward an inside of the curve than an exhaust gas flow path center line of this curved portion.
