    摘要: An image data management system includes a communication circuit network, and an image data input output apparatus and an image data registration apparatus connected to this communication circuit network. The image data output apparatus includes an image input device for taking in information represented on paper as image data, a management information input device for reading image data management information from a portable memory device, the image data management information being needed to register and manage image data inputted from the image input device, an input device for inputting command information given by a user, and an input output processing device for processing image data inputted from the image input device and sending processed image data onto the communication circuit network, on the basis of the command information inputted from the input device and the image data management information read from the management information input device. The image data registration apparatus includes a memory device for registering image data sent from the image data input output apparatus, and an image data registering device for taking in image data on the communication circuit network, providing image data thus taken in with search information needed at the time of searching the image data, and registering the image data with the search information attached thereto in the memory device.

    摘要: In a database system having a dictionary/directory for collective management of definition information of the database system, when an application program is compiled to generate an object module, it is confirmed, by referring to the definition information stored in the dictionary, if a database access instruction in the application program is correctly operable. The confirmed definition information is incorporated within an object module which is edited to generate a load module. During execution of the load module, a database access control is effected using the definition information of the database system in the directory as well as the definition information incorporated at the compiling stage.

    摘要: In an arrayed waveguide grating, a wedge-shaped groove formed in an arrayed waveguide section or a silica-based waveguide section in a periphery of the groove is modified in either one of the procedures below or in a particular combination thereof to suppress spreading of light in the groove to thereby reduce the excess loss due to addition of the groove. The material filled in the groove is a photosensitive material having a negative refractive index temperature coefficient. Using the photosensitivity, refractive index difference is provided in the groove to form optical waveguides in a horizontal direction or in vertical and horizontal directions. The material filled in the groove has a negative refractive index temperature coefficient to minimize a spreading angle of light incident to the groove. Width of each silica-based waveguide is enlarged before and after the groove to decrease the spreading angle of light incident to the groove. This method reduces the excess loss of the arrayed waveguide grating in which a wavelength characteristic is kept unchanged with respect to a change in ambient temperature.
