    摘要: A quadricep graft suspension construct, having a button loop, including a generally rectangular button, defining four apertures, including an innermost pair of apertures; and a suture loop looping through the innermost pair of apertures. The construct also has a graft holding assembly, including a reinforcement of first fibers braided with two second fibers, and wherein the first fibers have a first and second lengthwise end and the second fibers continue separately, extending from the first lengthwise end to form a pair of first tails and from the second lengthwise end to form a pair of second tails and wherein the first tails are jointly swaged to a needle. And wherein the graft holding assembly is affixed to the suture loop at a position opposed to the button at least in part by the second tails being joined together about the suture loop and further including packaging holding the needle.

    摘要: A worm gear-worm retractor for an implanted tongue retraction device is provided. The retractor of the present invention includes a control switch capable of adjusting a retraction force of a pull line, a pull line fixing device capable of fixing the pull line, and a casing. The control switch and the pull line fixing device are mounted in the casing, and the control switch is a worm gear-worm structure formed by a worm and a worm gear. Because the control switch adopts the worm gear-worm structure, by rotating the worm, the worm gear can be driven, so that the pull line fixing device connected to the worm gear rotates, thereby tensioning or loosening the pull line to adjust the retraction force of the pull line fixing device. The retractor has advantages of a compact structure, a small size and convenient adjustment.

    摘要: Systems and methods for knotless tissue repair employ a first suture construct routed through a tissue in a first inverted mattress stitch, including a loop portion and two free limbs. The loop portion of the first suture construct so routed is positioned adjacent to a superior surface of the tissue and the free limbs of the first suture construct so routed extend through an inferior surface of the tissue. A second suture construct, separate from the first suture construct, is inserted within the loop portion of the first suture construct such that two free limbs of the second suture construct extend from the loop portion of the first suture construct. The second suture construct comprises a plurality of braided filaments and possesses a substantially rectangular cross-sectional profile, and does not include a suture core surrounded by the braided filaments.

    摘要: The device (1) comprises a first snare (10) and a second snare (20), each of these snares comprising a contractable hollow elongated body (11, 21) which defines a longitudinal central axis (X10, X20) and which reduces its cross section when two opposed first (12, 22) and second (13, 23) ends thereof are axially moved away from each other.     摘要: The present invention provides an electromagnetic device comprising: a power circuit, and a contact initiated electro-magnet having an electrical coil in operable connection with the power circuit, wherein one end of the electrical coil is directly connected to the power circuit and the other is connected to the magnetic core of the electromagnet such that, in use, the magnetic core performs the dual purposes of (i) focusing the electromagnetic field created by the coil and (ii) forms part of the electrical circuit that energizes the magnetic core of the electromagnet. Multiple electromagnetic devices may be combined to form a kinetic device capable of creating an electrically-based movement device that mimics the form and function of the skeletal muscle through the use of multiple contact initiated electromagnets held within elastic tubes.
