    摘要: A multichannel clip device and methods of use that facilitate connection of multiple electrical components of a first device and a second device for testing and/or verification are provided herein. Such multichannel clip devices can include a spring-loaded clip having multiple electrical contacts for coupling with a contact portion of a first device and which are connected to a proximal connector through a flexible stimulation cable. The contacts can be included within a neurostimulation lead connector and the proximal connector adapted to couple with standard connectors on a clinician programmer, each contact being coupled to a corresponding contact of the proximal connector to define multiple separate channels. Such clip devices allow clinicians to test and/or verify multiple neurostimulation lead electrodes with a clinician programmers without requiring separate connection of each electrodes to a probe or test device and further allows for repeated sequencing or multi-plexing of neurostimulation leads during testing.

    摘要: There is provided a method for controlling a flow of fluid in the vas deferens in order to obtain a controlled male contraception. The method comprises gently constricting (i.e., without substantially hampering the blood circulation in the tissue wall) at least one portion of the tissue wall to influence the flow vas deferens, and stimulating the constricted wall portion to cause contraction of the wall portion to further influence the flow in the vas deferens. The method can be used for restricting or stopping the flow in the vas deferens, or for actively moving the fluid in the vas deferens, with a low risk of injuring the organ.

    摘要: In a method, an implantable mechanical support is provided. The mechanical support includes a section of mesh having a longitudinal axis and a radiopaque mark covering a subsection of the section of mesh. The mechanical support is implanted adjacent a target side of a patient. In some aspects of the method, a procedure is performed subsequent to the implantation of the mechanical support in the patient. In accordance with one aspect of the method, an incision is made in the patient, a distal end of an electrode lead is fed through the incision toward the implanted mechanical support. The radiopaque mark is located on the mesh using a radiological image. The distal end of the electrode lead is attached to the section of mesh proximate to the mark.

    摘要: A system and method for potentiating or eliciting an erotic sensation in a body using electrostimulation includes a controller for producing an electrical stimulation signal and at least two electrodes. The electrodes are adapted for placement on a body surface, for which at least one of the electrodes is used to potentiate or elicit an erotic sensation in the body when conveying the electrical stimulation signal from the controller. The electrical stimulation signal is provided in an amount and manner incorporating a plurality of high frequency pre-pulses prior to, and of narrower pulse width than, a primary pulse in the electrostimulation signal that is adapted to optimize the erotic sensation by limiting both concomitant adverse sensation and habituation at the locus of electrostimulation. The method further increases and decreases the stimulation amplitude responsive to open circuit, short circuit, and target settings.

    摘要: There is provided a method for controlling a flow of fluid and/or other bodily matter in a lumen formed by a tissue wall of a patient's organ.
