Methods and apparatus for an enhanced driving bit according to various aspects of the present technology include a bit comprising a plurality of driving surfaces having a limited length and a shoulder portion positioned between the driving surfaces and a mid-body portion of the bit. The length of the driving surfaces is selected to allow complete insertion into a recessed socket area of a fastener such that the entire driving surface is positioned within the recessed socket area. The shoulder surface is configured to distribute localized stresses away from the driving surfaces to the mid-body portion more efficiently to reduce a potential for breakage of the driving surfaces during use.

An apparatus and method for providing one or more elongated coin souvenirs in a single payment transaction embossed with any or all available images. A user interface displays the available images and instructions on how to operate the apparatus. Once a user makes a selection and completes a payment transaction, the apparatus begins to press and emboss coins with chosen image or images. If multiple elongated coins are purchased, an electronic control system causes a delivery of a first coin and causes a pressing mechanism to elongate and emboss the first image onto the coin. Upon completion of this action, a delivery of a second coin to the pressing mechanism is impressed with the next image. These steps are then be repeated until all of the images purchased by the user are impressed onto coins and delivered to the user.

This invention relates to a combined ring rolling method for spherical valve body, which has the following procedures: 1) design for ring blank by computing ring blank volume and selecting reasonable rolling ratio according to the dimensions of forged ring; 2) design for rolling gap which includes the shapes and dimensions of working surfaces of main roll, mandrel and passive rolls according to the dimensions of ring blank and forged ring, the stable deformation condition of combined ring rolling and structure requirement of rolling equipment; 3) rolling forming with three stages of surface cross rolling, ring rolling and shaping by controlling of feeding speed of main roll and working positions of passive rolls. This invention has the technical economical advantages of low consumptions of energy and materials, high productivity and low production cost.

In a method of producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet by hot rolling a steel slab having a chemical composition including C: 0.001˜0.10 mass %, Si: 1.0˜5.0 mass %, Mn: 0.01˜0.5 mass %, S and/or Se: 0.01˜0.05 mass %, sol. Al: 0.003˜0.050 mass % and N: 0.0010˜0.020 mass %, subjecting to single cold rolling or two or more cold rollings including an intermediate annealing therebetween to a final thickness, performing primary recrystallization annealing, and thereafter applying an annealing separator to perform final annealing, a temperature range of 550° C. to 700° C. in a heating process of the primary recrystallization annealing is rapidly heated at an average heating rate of 40˜200° C./s, while any temperature zone of from 250° C. to 550° C. is kept at a heating rate of not more than 10° C./s for 1˜10 seconds, whereby the refining of secondary recrystallized grains is attained and grain-oriented electrical steel sheets are stably obtained with a low iron loss.

The invention relates to a method for producing hollow body elements (200), for example, nut elements which are applied to components which are normally made of steel (280), in particular, for producing hollow body elements having an essentially quadratic or rectangular external profile (202). Said method consists of cutting individual elements of a profile in the form of a profile rod (1) or a winding after holes (204) have previously been stamped in the profile, a threaded cylinder (206) is subsequently, optionally, formed using a follow-on composite tool (10) which consists of several working stations. The invention is characterized in that a penetrating process and a punching process are carried out in the working station. The invention also relates to hollow body elements (200), components, follow-on composite tools (10) and rolling mills (600, 602).

A method of forming a housing which includes roll forming a steel tube radially inwardly with a plurality of rollers each having a rolling axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tube, the rollers compressing the tube and forming reduced diameter portions and enlarged diameter portions. The method then includes cutting the tube perpendicular to the longitudinal axis generally midway through an enlarged diameter portion and a reduced diameter portion, forming a plurality of minor image preforms. Finally, the method includes cold working the preforms into the desired shape of the housing and increasing the strength of the steel at least 15% and forming a housing member having enlarged diameter open end and a reduced diameter open end.

The starting blanks are subsequently guided separately through a rolling mill (5) with a longitudinal orientation and rolled in the rolling mill (5) into shaped blanks (6) having regions of different thickness.
