摘要: A part with an in-molded grommet and a process of making the same. The part includes a core of cured foam; and a grommet with a flange opposite a rim. The flange is surrounded by the core and the rim and/or an adjacent tapered section of the grommet are not covered by the foam. The process of making the part, which is preferably a single piece, includes inserting a grommet with a flange into the tool, dispensing foam into the tool, allowing the foam to expand around the flange of the grommet and to cure; and extracting a part with an in-molded grommet with the tapered section substantially uncoated by foam.

摘要: A composite has a laminar core assembly defining a bend, the bend having a radially inner surface defining a fillet. A reinforcement block adjacent to the radially inner surface of the bend has sufficient thickness to at least partly bury the fillet. The reinforcement block reduces the through-thickness tensile stress in the laminar core assembly and thereby reduces the risk of delamination.

摘要: The invention provides a holding jig for supporting and fixing a solid material capable of being foamed by application of heat in a cavity of a hollow structure. The holding jig may be provided with a plate-like base body made smaller in diameter than the cavity of the hollow structure, a holding part that is provided in a predetermined width in the form of a ring on the periphery of one side of said base body and supports one side of the foamable material, a step part with predetermined height, which is projected in the form of a ring at the inner peripheral end of said holding part and supports the inner peripheral surface of the foamable material, and an attaching means with which the base body can be freely attached to or detached from the hollow structure. The holding part can be provided with a plurality of small holes that open from one side to the other side of the base body, preferably in a net or lattice pattern. The holding jig may have one or more extensions containing approximately U-shaped foaming control walls that assist in directing expansion of the foaming material towards corners of the hollow structure.

摘要: A nonslip member in which a large number of nonslip convexes are fixed to an upper surface of a base fabric performing an anchoring action, and the nonslip convexes are made of rubber. By engaging a male mold and a female mold with each other, a large number of small pieces coincident to a shape of through holes of the female mold are punched out from a plate-like material. By pressurizing and heating each small piece between a punching convex and a mounting base while engaging the male mold and the female mold with each other, the small piece is bridged and fixed to the base fabric to serve as a nonslip convex.

An open cell material is layered between the first layer and the second layer. The open cell material has no resin during a first stage of a resin cure cycle. The open cell material has passages configured to flow volatiles formed during the first stage of the resin cure cycle. The open cell material is configured to fill with the resin during a second stage of the resin cure cycle. The open cell material is configured to form an integral structure with the first layer and the second layer as part of the composite article at the completion of the resin cure cycle.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a carbon fiber rim is disclosed, which includes: preparing a carbon fiber composite material and a thermosetting resin-based composite material; preparing a mold to place the carbon fiber composite material into the mold so that the carbon fiber composite material forms a pre-molded rim according to the shape of the mold, and then annularly affixing the thermosetting resin-based composite material respectively to brake surfaces on both sides of the pre-molded rim, so as to form a brake layer; placing the pre-molded rim into the mold to integrally form a rim by means of heat and pressure; and taking out the rim having the brake layer on the surface.
