Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a wheel device including bonding a hub portion with lug holes and center bore hole, a spokes portion, and a barrel portion to generally form a mandrel or an inner frame of the wheel device. The inner frame is a scaled down size of the wheel device, in which a composite skin is wrapped around the inner frame to form an uncured wheel device. The uncured wheel device is encased inside a mold apparatus to cure. A cured wheel device of this method provides a wheel device with barrel, spokes, hub, lug holes and center bore hole molded into said wheel device without the use of a machine to carve out the spokes, hub, log holes or center bore hole.

A thermoplastic wheel hub (10) includes a center hub (26) for attachment to a wheel bearing (20) of a vehicle. The center hub (26) has a central shaft aperture (28) extending axially therethough and a plurality of lug apertures (30) spaced radially from and circumferentially about the central shaft aperture (28). The thermoplastic wheel hub (10) also includes a plurality of ribs (40) extending radially outwardly from the center hub (26). The thermoplastic wheel hub (10) further includes a cylindrical tire mount (46) connected to the ribs and extending axially in substantially a plane for mounting a non-pneumatic tire (12) thereon.

The invention relates to a cycle hub assembly and a method of producing such cycle hub assembly. The cycle hub assembly includes a wheel hub and a plurality of spoke mounting elements. The spoke mounting elements are present in two axially spaced rows positioned around the circumference of the wheel hub. Each spoke mounting element includes at least one spoke mounting hole for receiving at least part of at least one spoke. At least two adjacent spoke mounting elements are interconnected in an efficient manner such that an optimal design of the cycle hub assembly is obtained.

A wheel rim includes a rim body, two firm tracks, and a plurality of hollow anti-thermal unit. The two firm tracks were mounted on two sides of the rim body, and these hollow anti-thermal units are spread in two firm tracks. The hollow anti-thermal unit can reduce transfer rate of the thermal when braking a car.

A wheel with a rim as well as a wheel spider, where the wheel spider has a hub and spokes. The wheel includes spokes including one or more linearly stretched textile strands as reinforcement material of a fiber composite and each linearly stretched textile strand runs at least once from the rim to the hub and back without interruption and thus forms at least one spoke. The textile strands are connected in a positive-locking manner and/or in substance with the hub and the rim. A process is provided for the manufacture of the wheel.
