摘要: A fusion protein comprising domain (a) which is a functional fragment of hTRAIL protein sequence, which fragment begins with an amino acid at a position not lower than hTRAIL95, or a homolog of said functional fragment having at least 70% sequence identity, preferably 85% identity and ending with the amino acid hTRAIL281; and at least one domain (b) which is a sequence of a cytolytic effector peptide forming pores in the cell membrane, wherein the sequence of domain (b) is attached at the C-terminus or N-terminus of domain (a). The fusion protein can be used for the treatment of cancer diseases.

摘要: A liposomal vaccine composition comprises a β-amyloid (Aβ)-derived peptide antigen displayed on the surface of the liposome. The vaccine composition also comprises a peptide comprising a universal T-cell epitope encapsulated within the liposome. The vaccine composition also comprises an adjuvant, which may form part of the liposome and may be displayed at least in part on the surface of the liposome. These vaccine compositions are used for treating, preventing, inducing a protective immune response against or alleviating the symptoms associated with an amyloid-beta associated disease or condition or a condition characterised by, or associated with, loss of cognitive memory capacity in a subject. The vaccine compositions may be provided as a kit. Related methods of producing a liposomal vaccine composition are also provided.

摘要: The present invention relates to the production of modified influenza viral proteins in plants. More specifically, the present invention relates to producing and increasing influenza virus-like particle (VLP) production in plants, wherein the VLPs comprise the modified influenza viral proteins, such as modified influenza hemagglutinin (HA). The HA protein may comprising an amino acid sequence comprising at least one substitution when compared to a corresponding wildtype amino acid sequence. Further provided are nucleic acid encoding the modified HA protein. Furthermore methods of producing an influenza virus like particle (VLP) and methods of increasing yield of production of an influenza virus like particle (VLP) in a plant, portion of a plant, or a plant cell, are also provided.
