    摘要: A carburetor having an idle nozzle and a main nozzle each with a fixed flow area and an idle speed single adjustment screw adjustable by the user. The idle and high speed fuel flows are controlled by the idle nozzle and the main nozzle, respectively. The user can adjust the engine speed only by adjustment of the idle speed adjustment screw which changes the position of the carburetor throttle valve to control the flow through the carburetor. This provides a more consistent fuel and air mixture to improve the performance of the engine and better control engine emissions by preventing the user from changing the fuel and air ratio to a mixture which is either too lean or too rich for the steady and low level exhaust emission operation of the engine.

    摘要: A carburetor includes a body having an inner wall and an air/fuel passageway. An insert includes a base having a shape that closely matches the inner wall and a first tower having a first end disposed within the air/fuel passageway. A main circuit passageway is at least partially formed within the first tower and has a first end in fluid communication with the air/fuel passageway and a second end in fluid communication with the fuel bowl chamber. The main circuit passageway carries fuel from the fuel bowl chamber to the air/fuel passageway during engine operation when the throttle valve is opened. A second tower has a first end coupled to the base and a second end spaced away from the base. The first end of the first tower, the second end of the second tower, and the base are the sole engagement points between the insert and the body.

After the choke valve has been returned to the fully open position, the throttle valve alone is opened with a small degree of opening to perform low-load operation; and in the mid- and high-load region, the interlocking lever integrally turns with the throttle valve, the second cam face pushes the air valve lever, and the throttle valve and air valve are caused to open and close proportionally. Preferably, the degree of opening of the throttle valve for low load operation is adjustable.

    摘要: The improved carburetor of the present invention provides for direct mechanical control of both an airflow valve and a fuel dispersion assembly such that operation of the airflow valve regulates the amount of air flowing through the carburetor. The fuel dispersion assembly and the airflow valve are mechanically connected by a three bar linkage assembly; the middle linkage being of adjustable length. Mounted within the carburetor is a throttle valve which, when opened, affects the position of the airflow valve. The fuel dispersion assembly comprises a pair of concentric tubes, one rotatable relative to the other and both having one or more radial slots therethrough. A center tube, or "slave" tube, contains fuel from a fuel storage tank. An outer tube, or "sleeve" tube remains affixedly secured to the carburetor. Upon rotation of the slave tube within the sleeve tube, a portion of the slots in each tube overlap, providing a passageway for the fuel, contained in the slave tube, to disperse within the carburetor. The slots located on the sleeve tube are oriented downwardly so that fuel is dispersed through the sleeve tube toward the bottom of the carburetor in a fan-like configuration--the arc of the fan varying with the amount of slot overlap and thus the amount of fuel dispersed.
