    摘要: An engine control system for an auto-stop/start vehicle includes an auto-stop/start module that generates an auto-stop command for shutting down an engine while an ignition is ON and subsequently generates an auto-start command for re-starting the engine. The system includes an actuator control module that disables an engine load, parks exhaust and intake cam phasers, disables fuel, sets a first throttle opening, monitors a crankshaft rotational position, speed, and deceleration, sets a second throttle opening for a predetermined duration if a piston simultaneously crosses a target position below a target engine speed and below a target degrees of rotation remaining, sets a third throttle opening, and determines if an engine speed is below a threshold speed before setting a fourth throttle opening when the engine speed is below the threshold speed, and causes the piston to rest in a predetermined position range.

The system and method utilizes a cellular telephone, interfacing with standard scheduling software, and capable of communicating with the Internet to gather real time data and communicating through a wireless telecommunication network with a vehicle to send vehicle remote start and other commands; an electronic scheduling system utilized within or accessible by the cellular telephone; a cellular telephone based and/or vehicle based GPS location module for determining the location of the vehicle and the cellular telephone at any particular point in time; a set of coded instructions that actively queries the Internet for real time data and that queries the electronic scheduling system to determine the time and location of a scheduled meeting, evaluating various vehicle operational parameters, the distance of the cellular phone from a vehicle, various environmental parameters, the distance from a vehicle to meeting location, the travel time required to timely travel and attend the scheduled meeting, and either prompting the user to actively send a remote start command signal to the vehicle or automatically sending the remote start command signal.

    摘要: A vehicle equipped with a brake booster that uses the negative pressure in an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine includes an automatic stop-start apparatus that performs an automatic stop-start control of the engine while securing a sufficient brake booster negative pressure in accordance with changes in the atmospheric pressure. The apparatus detects the pressure in the brake booster. If the detected pressure exceeds a predetermined reference value during the automatically stopped state of the engine, the apparatus outputs warning information or automatically restarts the engine. The reference value is changed in accordance with the magnitude of the atmospheric pressure around the vehicle.
