Abstract: A voltage control system has a light receiving array part receiving incident light and a light shielding array part shielding light receiving elements from incident light by a light shielding mechanism. The voltage control system also includes: a voltage application unit applying a bias voltage to an anode terminal; a multiplication state determination unit determining the multiplication state of the light shielding array part based on output signals from cathodes of the light receiving elements in the light shielding array part; and a voltage setting unit performing voltage setting for the bias voltage to be output from the voltage application unit based on the determination results from the multiplication state determination unit.

Abstract: Provided is a light detection device capable of suppressing optical color mixing while improving quantum efficiency QE. A substrate including a plurality of photoelectric conversion units and a wiring layer arranged on a side opposite to a light receiving surface of the substrate are provided. Then, the wiring layer includes a reflection layer formed so as to overlap at least a part of the plurality of photoelectric conversion units in a stacking direction in which the substrate and the wiring layer are stacked. Furthermore, the reflection layer includes a plurality of recesses each including a corner cube-shaped portion in each of portions overlapping the photoelectric conversion units on a surface on a side of the photoelectric conversion units.

Abstract: An optical sensor includes pixels. Each pixel has a photodetector. A readout circuit performs a process over an exposure time where the photodetector is connected to a reverse bias voltage supply to reset a voltage across the photodetector, and the photodetector is disconnected from the reverse bias voltage supply until that the voltage across the photodetector decreases in response to received ambient light. An ambient light level is then determine an based on a number of times the voltage across the photodetector is reset over the exposure time.

Abstract: An in-cell optical sensing display panel includes a pixel array, a plurality of first optical sensors and a plurality of second optical sensors. The pixel array is disposed in an active area of the in-cell optical sensing display panel, and the active area includes a first region and a second region which surrounds the first region. The sensor array is disposed in the first region of the active area and is configured to sense a fingerprint of a finger touching a surface of the in-cell optical sensing display panel. The second optical sensors are disposed in the second region of the active area and are configured to sense ambient light, and the second optical sensors are not to be used for fingerprint sensing.

Measured signals from the sensor arrays (31-34) are analysed to determine positional information about the light spots (15) on the sensor arrays (31 -34). It is adjusted where the light spots (15) hit the sensor arrays (31-34) based on the positional information. A corresponding light microscope is furthermore disclosed.

Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for imaging a sample. In various embodiments, the invention provides a system comprising an image sensor, a laser for emitting excitation light for an infrared or near-infrared fluorophore, a visible light source, a notch beam splitter, a notch filter, a synchronization module, an image processing unit, an image displaying unit, and light-conducting channels. In accordance with the present invention, the image sensor can detect both visible light and infrared light.
