    摘要: A socket comprises a housing made of an insulating board and a plurality of contacts arranged on a first surface of the housing. The housing has a plurality of passageways. Each passageway extends through the housing and has an inner wall surface plated with a conductive material. The housing also has a conductive pad formed on a second surface of the housing so as to correspond to one of the passageways. The conductive pad is electrically continuous with the conductive material of the inner wall surface of the passageway and extends from the passageway. The housing also has a solder ball attached to the conductive pad. Each of the contacts corresponds to one of the plurality of passageways and is electrically connected to both the conductive material of the inner wall surface of the passageway and a contact pad of an electronic component.

    摘要: A connection method of a terminal includes an inserting-arranging process for inserting and arranging conductors of a plurality of wires into a connection section. The wires have the conductor sections exposed from the sheaths thereof at the end portions. The connection section has cylindrical shape with a bottom portion and an opening section. The method further includes a heating-melting process for heating the connection section in a state that the opening section of the connection section faced upwards in the vertical direction to melt the conductors within the connection section, and a molten-metal raising process for conducting an insertion of the conductors into the connection section and/or a pressurization of the connection section from outside to raise the molten metal within the connection section to a level upper.

The plug portion defines an insulative housing and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the insulative housing and arranged in two rows spaced apart from each other in a vertical direction, the conductive terminals including a plurality of detecting terminals, a plurality of signal terminals and a plurality of first terminals. The cable has a plurality of core wires. The plug portion further includes a connecting member for the first terminals shorted, the connecting member makes the first terminals shorted together so as to the first terminals are just soldered with a core wire of the cable.

    摘要: A wire termination system for efficiently connecting a plurality of wires to an electrical connector. The wire termination system generally includes a heat applicator device that selectively applies heat to a specific connector pin within an electrical connector so that a corresponding wire may be soldered to the connector pin. The heat applicator device applies heat to a first connector pin for a period of time for soldering of a first wire to the first connector pin and then the heat is removed. The heat applicator device then applies heat to the next connector pin for soldering a next wire to the next connector with the process continuing until all of the wires are soldered to their corresponding connector pins on the electrical connector.

    摘要: Devices and methods for assembling co-planar electrical contacts in a connector are provided herein. In one aspect, an exemplary method of assembly comprises depositing solder in a connector plug enclosure, positioning electrical contacts on the solder deposits, advancing the hotbar toward the enclosure contacting each of the electrical contacts so as to planarize a top surface of each of the electrical contacts with the enclosure and melting the solder with the heated hotbar to solder the electrical contacts to the enclosure. In one aspect, an exemplary hotbar device includes a magnet for releasably coupling the electrical contacts to the hotbar. In another aspect, the hotbar includes metallic portions for heating the electrical contacts and insulated ceramic portions for contacting the enclosure. In another aspect, an electrically conductive hotbar includes side portions that extend away from the bottom heating surface facilitating more uniform current flow through the hotbar.

    摘要: A body housing supports a plurality of terminals, and an end of a flat cable that includes a conductor-exposed portion is disposed in the body housing. The cover housing is attached to the body housing, and holds the plurality of terminals and a plurality of conductors so as to be sandwiched between the body housing and the cover housing. The terminals are provided with a raised portion that is formed such that a portion of the terminals protrudes, and the plurality of terminals and the plurality of conductors in the conductor-exposed portion are respectively welded together by performing resistance welding with the terminals and the conductors abutting against each other via the raised portion. This enables welding to be performed with a small current with regard to resistance welding of the plurality of terminals of the flat cable connector and the plurality of conductors of the flat cable, thus reducing power consumption during welding, and can also achieve stable welding quality.
