摘要: A pulsatile fluid pump system includes a pump-valving assembly including a chamber and a diaphragm assembly coupled to the chamber and including a flexible diaphragm. The diaphragm assembly and the pump-valving assembly are configured as an integral pump assembly. The system further includes a linear motor having a magnet and a coil, the magnet moving in relation to the coil, the coil having an electrical input. The system also includes a control housing rigidly coupled to the linear motor and a controller system having an electrical output coupled to the electrical input of the coil, the controller system defining an electrical waveform at the electrical output to cause desired operation of the diaphragm. The integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the control housing, and the diaphragm assembly of the integral pump assembly is configured to be removably coupled to the linear motor.

The support system includes an upstream support element, aimed at securing the upstream extremity of the pump body to the patient's heart, a downstream support element, aimed at securing the exit cylinder to the patient's heart. The upstream support element and the downstream support element are two independent and autonomous functional elements, and the upstream support element and the downstream support element are aimed to removably secure the assist device inside the patient's heart.

摘要: Membranes are provided to be specially developed for use in chambers for artificial circulatory assistance which may be employed primarily in cardiovascular procedures, notably to produce arterial capacitance, to regulate blood pressure, to produce aortic counterpulsation and to pump blood. The membrane may have circular sections that may vary in size or not depending on the function to be performed and are interconnected so that the transition between one section and the other is smooth, regardless of the size of each section. Further, chambers and pumps may be used for cardiopulmonary bypass and a pumping system.

摘要: An exemplary apparatus, can include, for example, a circulating tumor cell (CTC) treatment arrangement, a pump arrangement configured to circulate a fluid through the CTC treatment arrangement, and an electric field generator electrically connected to the CTC treatment arrangement, and configured to apply an electric field to the fluid circulating through the CTC treatment arrangement. The pump arrangement can be a peristaltic pump, which can be configured to continuously circulate the fluid through the CTC treatment arrangement. According to another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, method, system and computer-accessible medium can be provided for killing at least one circulating tumor cell (CTC). Using such exemplary embodiment, blood can be pumped from a body of a patient to an electroporation chamber inside of a CTC treatment arrangement. An electric field can be applied to the blood located in the electroporation chamber in order to kill the CTC. The electric field-applied blood can be pumped back into the body.

A blood component sampling cassette (22) includes a cassette main body (23) made of a soft material to which heat sterilization is applicable. The cassette main body (23) is provided with a retransfusion line (44). The retransfusion line (44) is provided with a reservoir (47) configured to temporarily store a blood component to be returned to a blood donor. The reservoir (47) is pressed by a retransfusion pump (49) to discharge the blood component from the reservoir (47).

摘要: Microbubbles detached from a blood circuit and a blood purification unit are discharged with the use of a backflow generated at the instant that a roller of a blood pump releases a squeezable tube. In a normal rotation step, a region filled with a priming solution after a priming step is closed by a closing unit, and a rotor of a blood pump is rotated normally until a roller of the blood pump releases a squeezable tube to generate a backflow. After the backflow is generated at the release of the squeezable tube by the roller of the blood pump, bubbles are moved by reversely rotating the rotor while disabling the closing by the closing unit. Thus, the bubbles are discharged through a discharge unit.

摘要: A blood pump is disclosed. The blood pump apparatus is arranged to provide pulsatile flow, and comprises a flexible inner cylindrical duct providing a blood flow region, and an outer cylindrical duct arranged to surround the inner cylindrical duct and arranged to accommodate a pumping fluid. In the pump the inner cylindrical duct is described as comprising a blood inlet for receiving blood into the region, a blood outlet for passing blood out from the blood flow region and a passageway therebetween. There is also described the feature of the inner duct comprising a non return valve at the blood inlet and a non return valve at the blood outlet, the outer cylindrical duct having a fluid port for a pumping fluid, and a pump device arranged to cyclically deliver and withdraw pumping fluid to the fluid port thereby cyclically compressing and expanding the flexible inner cylindrical duct urging blood through the blood flow region and delivering a pulsating blood flow through the blood outlet.
