摘要: A combined electrospinning and microextrusion apparatus includes a robotic manipulator having a plurality of degrees of freedom, an end effector supported and movable by the robotic manipulator, a plurality of extruders housed on the end effector, each extruder having an interchangeable nozzle for extrusion of material, a working plane for deposition of extruded material, a pneumatic circuit supplying a fluid flow to the extruders for controlling extrusion of material, and an electric generator selectively activatable to apply a potential difference between the nozzles of the extruders and the working plane. The extruders are capable of operating selectively in microextrusion mode with inactive electric generator or in electrospinning mode with active electric generator, in an independent manner from each other.

摘要: Methods for preparing multi-layer optical laminates include placing an optical film that is free form an adhesive layer between first and second glass substrates that are free of an adhesive layer, placing this laminate under vacuum, and then heating the laminate under pressure to a temperature above the softening temperature of the optical film. The glass substrates are free of an adhesive layer but may include a silane surface treatment. The resulting multi-layer laminate is optically clear and does not show scattering of reflected light by the optical film.

摘要: A handheld portable electrostatic device for electrostatically applying a treatment solution to a treatment site of a patient, including a housing and a cartridge removably disposed in the housing. The cartridge includes a cartridge housing and a nozzle for applying the treatment solution. An electrostatic module is provided to electrostatically charge and ionize molecules of the treatment solution of the cartridge. The treatment solution is configured to flow toward the nozzle whereby at least one electrode electrically connected to the electrostatic module physically contacts the treatment solution as it flows therethrough and applies an electrical charge to the treatment solution.

摘要: A two piece adapter for extrusion of cylindrical core-shell structures using conventional biomedical needles includes first and second adapter pieces. The first adapter piece includes first and second (core and shell) inlet ports. The core inlet port leads directly to a male Luer fitting attachable to a core needle and surrounded by a threaded chamber. The shell inlet port is led, via a side chamber, into the side of the threaded chamber. The second adapter piece attaches to the bottom of the threaded chamber and is configured to attach to a shell needle, so that the shaft of the core needle sits inside the shaft of the shell needle.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a pressure-sensitive sensor includes providing an extruder that includes a cylindrical die, a mandrel arranged inside the die and having plural helical grooves on an outer circumferential surface, and an annular outlet sandwiched between the die and the mandrel, and by using the extruder, performing simultaneous extrusion-molding of an elastic insulating material and an elastic conductive material by supplying the elastic conductive material into not less than two of the grooves from the inside of the mandrel while extruding the elastic insulating material, so as to form a pressure-sensitive sensor. The sensor includes a tubular body including an elastic insulation and having a hollow portion along a longitudinal direction, and not less than two conductive ribs including an elastic conductor and helically provided along an inner circumferential surface of the hollow portion of the tubular body so as to protrude inward from the inner circumferential surface.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for preparing a carbon nanotube dispersion, the method including mixing a dispersion solution including a dispersion solvent and a dispersant with carbon nanotubes to prepare carbon nanotube paste, extruding the paste to obtain solid carbon nanotubes, and introducing a second solvent to the solid carbon nanotubes, and homogenizing the carbon nanotubes, wherein the weight ratio of the dispersion solution and the carbon nanotubes is 1:1 to 9:1. According to the present invention, the mixing of a dispersant and carbon nanotubes is increased and the particle size is controlled by a wet method, so that a carbon nanotube dispersion having a viscosity controlled to a low level, excellent resistance properties, and a high concentration, may be provided.
