摘要： A refrigeration apparatus enclosure and method of forming the same wherein an inner laminate wall is provided in an outer cabinet for providing the sheet liner and insulation portions of the refrigeration apparatus enclosure. The laminate wall is folded along lines cut through the insulation to conform to the configuration of the outer cabinet and insulation is provided for filling the resultant voids to complete the enclosure construction. The voids may be filled by foam blocks which may be cemented in place to aid in bonding the laminate wall to the outer cabinet. The rear wall of the cabinet may comprise a flat laminate wall and a divider wall may be provided within the cabinet for dividing the space therein into separate compartments. The divider wall may comprise a laminate wall and in one embodiment, comprises an extension of a laminate wall lining the cabinet.

摘要： The thermoplastic polymeric surface to be adhesively bonded is flame-sprayed with a material having a surface free energy which is greater than the surface free energy of the thermoplastic polymeric surface. In a specific application of the invention, a particulate coating is formed on the thermoplastic polymeric surface by flame spraying the surface with a material selected from the group consisting of carbon, ceramics, metal, metal oxides, metal alloys, and mixtures thereof. An adhesive coating is applied to the flame-sprayed surface, following which particulate material is applied to the adhesive-coated substrate to form the particulate coating.

摘要： The invention comprises a rectangular plastic sheet which may be folded about living hinges to provide a container for holding coins and the like. The sheet is made of polypropylene or other suitable plastic material which has good living hinge qualities in thin sections. The preferred embodiment consists of three V-shaped units separated by two living hinges, which units when folded form a regular hexagonally cross-sectioned cylinder. Ledging may be provided on the end of the sheet so that when folded the ledging at least partially closes the otherwise open ends of the cylinder. A locking mechanism comprising an upwardly extending lip on a side edge of the sheet which engages a hollow behind and beneath a downwardly extending lip on the other side edge is provided. By forcing contact by the coins against the container walls when the container is closed the material is tightened against the coins and the locking mechanism becomes more tightly engaged, securing against accidental opening. Because of the construction, less plastic is needed to make this container than known horseshoe-cross-sectioned coin holders.

摘要： Several cell casings forming compartments for receiving battery cells made from resin filled with fiberglass are integrally joined together using resin and fiberglass to form an inner boxlike structure having compartments separated by partitions which is inserted into an outer boxlike structure made from the same material. The resultant battery tray is of a unitary construction having dimensionally stably and uniform partitions. The polyester resin and fiberglass are laid up in such a manner as to resist bending of the tray along its length when it is lifted from the ends thereof. This is accomplished in part by providing thicker walls along the length of the tray than the partition walls transverse to the length of the tray.

The cooperative stacking means includes a plurality of spaced parallel rows of recesses extending in one direction in the outer surface of one of the parts. Protrusions are formed on the outer surface of the other part and have a shape so that they are adapted to fit within the recesses.

摘要： Hollow, multi-layered plastic structures are provided comprising a layer of thermoplastic polyester material and a layer of polyethylene, the polyethylene and polyester layers being crosslinked together at their interface. A process for producing such structures which comprises charging a mold with thermoplastic polyester material, rotating and heating the mold so as to fuse and form a layer of the polyester material on the inner surface of the mold, cooling the mold to a point below the melting point of the polyester but above the melting point of a subsequently added cross-linkable polyethylene material, stopping the rotation and charging the mold with the cross-linkable polyethylene material, resuming the rotation of the mold and heating it to a temperature sufficient to fuse and cross-link the polyethylene with the polyester layer, cooling the mold to a point below the melting point of the polyethylene and removing the finished structure from the mold.
