Abstract:
A resist composition includes a base material component and a fluorine additive component. The fluorine additive component contains a fluororesin component having a structural unit containing a base dissociable group. The base material component contains a structural unit containing an acid-decomposable group in an amount of 30 mol % or more and an amount of 10 mol % or more of a resin component having a structural unit represented by formula (a10-1): where R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or a halogenated alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, Yax1 is a single bond or a divalent linking group, Wax1 is a (nax1+1) valent aromatic hydrocarbon group, and nax1 is an integer of 1 to 3.
Abstract:
The present invention provides: a composition which exhibits low viscosity, while having high refractive index and good dryability when cured, and which is able to be suppressed in precipitation of crystals for a long period of time in cases where the composition is stored at low temperatures; and a coating material which contains this composition. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the above-described problem is able to be solved by a composition which contains (A) 60-95 parts by mass of a (meth)acrylate represented by general formula (1): and (B) 5-40 parts by mass of an aromatic alcohol represented by general formula (2):
Abstract:
Polar silane linkers are provided that attach to resins to form silane-functionalized resins. The functionalized resins can be bound to hydroxyl groups on the surface of silica particles to improve the dispersibility of the silica particles in rubber mixtures. Further disclosed are synthetic routes to provide the silane-functionalized resins, as well as various uses and end products that benefit from the unexpected properties of the silane-functionalized resins. Silane-functionalized resins impart remarkable properties on various rubber compositions, such as tires, belts, hoses, brakes, and the like. Automobile tires incorporating the silane-functionalized resins are shown to possess excellent results in balancing the properties of rolling resistance, tire wear, and wet braking performance.
Abstract:
An active energy ray liquid composition is provided. A cured product of the active energy ray curable liquid composition is a solid at 25° C. and a liquid at 60° C., and the solid exhibits a compression stress of 2.0 kPa or more when compressed 1%.
Abstract:
A process for producing improved crosslinking components for paint binders which can be crosslinked through transesterification is described. The process is characterized in that an ester of malonic or cyano-acetic acid or aceto-acetic acid is reacted in a KNOEVENAGEL-reaction with a carbonyl compound, preferably with formaldehyde, and the reaction products are polymerized, optionally utilizing free-radical initiators, to provide a polymer having a molecular weight of between about 300 and 6000. The crosslinking components prepared according to the invention provide an unsaponifiable base structure and permit the preparation of products with high functionality. The crosslinking components are preferably utilized in binder systems for cathodically depositable paints.
Abstract:
PHOTOSENSITIVE COATING SYSTEMS PREPARED BY THE DEPOSITION, UPON A SOLID SUBSTRATE, OF AN ORGANIC SOLVENT SOLUTION OR AQUEOUS EMULSION OF A COPOLYMER CONTAINING MOIETIES DERIVED FROM A PARTICULAR CLASS OF ETHYLENICALLY UNSATURATED BENZOPHENONE DERIVATIVES; THE PRESENCE OF SAID MOIETIES RENDERING THE RESULTING POLYMER COATING SENSITIVE TO ULTRA-VIOLET OR VISIBLE LIGHT WHICH AFFECTS THE CROSSLINKING, OR INSOLUBILIZATION, OF THE THUS EXPOSED COATINGS. THE LATTER PHOTOSENSITIVE COATING SYSTEMS ARE PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR USE IN VARIOUS APPLICATION SUCH, FOR EXAMPLE, AS IN THE LITHOGRAPHIC AND CHEMICAL MILLING FIELDS.
