A curable resin composition includes a polyether polyol resin represented by general formula (1) and having an epoxy equivalent of 7,000 to 100,000 g/eq, an epoxy resin having a functionality of 3 or more, and an epoxy resin curing agent. Provided is a curable resin composition that is excellent in heat resistance and also excellent in bending resistance in a well-balanced manner and that is applicable in various fields that require heat resistance and toughness, particularly, electrical and electronic fields.

In a proposed aminoplast adhesive resin powder for wood-based materials, which eliminates little formaldehyde, the resin is a mixture of(a) from 40 to 75 parts by weight of a urea/formaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of urea to formaldehyde of from 1:1.4 to 1:2,(b) from 10 to 20 parts by weight of a melamine/formaldehyde resin having a molar ratio of melamine to formaldehyde of from 1:1.3 to 1:3,(c) from 15 to 25 parts by weight of milled urea and(d) from 0.3 to 5 parts by weight of a flow improver, as well as up to 10 parts by weight of water and, if required, up to 10 parts by weight of other additives, the number of parts by weight of the components summing to 100.

The invention relates to a hybrid resin, which is suitable in particular for impregnating paper webs. The hybrid resin according to the invention can be advantageously used for improving the mechanical properties of counteracting layers in multilayer boards.
