    摘要: Ceramic inert anodes useful for the electrolytic production of aluminum are disclosed. The inert anodes comprise an oxide of Ni and Fe having a controlled Ni/(Ni+Fe) mole ratio which results in a single-phase structure at the operation temperatures of aluminum production cells. The Ni and Fe oxide material may also have a single-phase structure at the sintering temperature of the material. The single-phase inert anode materials maintain sufficient electrical conductivity at the operating temperatures of the cell, and also possess good mechanical stability.

    摘要: A transparent electro-conductive structure comprising a transparent substrate and formed successively thereon a transparent electro-conductive layer and a transparent coat layer, which is used in, e.g., front panels of display devices such as CRTs. The transparent electro-conductive layer is composed chiefly of i) noble-metal-coated fine silver particles having an average particle diameter of from 1 nm to 100 nm, the fine silver particles being surface-coated with gold or platinum alone or a composite of gold and platinum, and ii) a binder matrix. A transparent electro-conductive layer forming coating fluid used in the production of this transparent conductive structure comprises a solvent and noble-metal-coated fine silver particles dispersed in the solvent and having an average particle diameter of from 1 nm to 100 nm, the fine silver particles being surface-coated with gold or platinum alone or a composite of gold and platinum.

These electron emission materials are typically contained in a refractory metal matrix formed of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, rhenium, and their alloys, but may also be used by themselves. These materials and electrodes have high melting points, low vapor pressures, low work functions, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and high thermionic electron emission and field emission properties.

    摘要: An aqueous nickel slurry of the present invention comprises water, nickel fine powder provided thereon with an insoluble inorganic oxide adhered to the surface of the individual nickel fine particles constituting the fine powder, polyacrylic acid or an ester or salt thereof and at least one member selected from the group consisting of ammonium hydroxides substituted with organic substituents and hydroxyl group-containing amine compounds. The aqueous nickel slurry comprises nickel fine powder stably dispersed in the slurry in a high concentration without causing any re-agglomeration and can be used as a conductive paste for firing, in particular, a conductive paste for use in making a multilayer ceramic capacitor. The aqueous nickel slurry comprising nickel fine powder stably dispersed in the slurry in a high concentration without causing any re-agglomeration is prepared by the method of the present invention.

    摘要: A Cu(hfac) precursor with a substituted phenylethylene ligand has been provided. The substituted phenylethylene ligand includes bonds to molecules selected from the group consisting of C1 to C6 alkyl, C1 to C6 haloalkyl, C1 to C6 phenyl, H and C1 to C6 alkoxyl. One variation, the &agr;-methylstyrene ligand precursor has proved to be stable a low temperatures, and sufficiently volatile at higher temperatures. Copper deposited with this precursor has low resistivity and high adhesive characteristics. A synthesis method has been provided which produces a high yield of the above-described precursor.
