摘要: A system for power efficient image acquisition is configurable to capture, using an image sensor, a plurality of partial image frames including at least a first partial image frame and a second partial image frame. The first partial image frame is captured at a first timepoint using a first subset of image sensing pixels of the plurality of image sensing pixels of the image sensor. The second partial image frame is captured at a second timepoint using a second subset of image sensing pixels of the plurality of image sensing pixels of the image sensor. The second subset of image sensing pixels includes different image sensing pixels than the first subset of image sensing pixels, and the second timepoint is temporally subsequent to the first timepoint. The system is configurable to generate a composite image frame based on the plurality of partial image frames.

摘要: An imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes: an imaging unit having a pixel region in which a plurality of pixels is arranged; a readout controller that controls readout of pixel signals from pixels included in the pixel region; a first unit-of-readout setting unit that sets a unit of readout as a part of the pixel region, for which the readout controller performs readout of the pixel signal; an image output unit that outputs a first image based on the pixel signal read out from the unit of readout to a subsequent stage; a second unit-of-readout controller that controls the unit of readout in which the readout controller performs readout of the pixel signal; and a recognition unit that learns training data for each of the units of readout, performs a recognition process on the pixel signal for each of the units of readout, and outputs a recognition result.

摘要: A time-of-flight pixel array includes photodiodes that generate charge in response to incident reflected modulated light. First transfer transistors transfer a first portion of the charge from the photodiodes in response to a first modulation signal and second transfer transistors transfer a second portion of the charge from the photodiodes in response to a second modulation signal, which is an inverted first modulation signal. First floating diffusions are coupled to the first transfer transistors. A binning transistor is coupled between one of the first floating diffusions and another one of the first floating diffusions. A first memory node is coupled to one of the first floating diffusions through a first sample and hold transistor and a second memory node is coupled to another one of the first floating diffusions through a second sample and hold transistor.

摘要: An image capturing apparatus includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, a first selection unit, and a second selection unit. Each of the photoelectric conversion elements includes an avalanche diode and a counter. The photoelectric conversion elements have a first photoelectric conversion element and a second photoelectric conversion element. The first selection unit controls the first photoelectric conversion element. The second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element. The first and second selection units are controlled by a first control line and a second control line. In a first mode, the second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element to be brought into a state where no signal is read from the second photoelectric conversion element. In a second mode, the second selection unit controls the second photoelectric conversion element to be brought into a state where a signal is read from the second photoelectric conversion element.

There are disposed plural unit cells each including plural photodiodes, plural transfer MOSFETs arranged corresponding to the plural photodiodes, respectively, and a common MOSFET which amplifies and outputs signals read from the plural photodiodes. Each pair within the unit cell, composed of the photodiode and the transfer MOSFET provided corresponding to the photodiode, has translational symmetry with respect to one another. Within the unit cell, there are included a reset MOSFET and selecting MOSFET.

摘要: The disclosed imaging device includes pixels each including a photoelectric convertor, a focus controller controlling a focal position of light, and a pixel controller controlling charge accumulation in the photoelectric convertors and readout of signals from the pixels. The pixels include a first pixel outputting signal corresponding to light in a first wavelength band and a second pixel outputting signal corresponding to light in a second wavelength band. The pixel controller executes, during one frame, a first period of accumulating charge in the photoelectric convertor of the first pixel in a state that the light in the first wavelength band is focused on, a second period of accumulating charge in the photoelectric convertor of the second pixel in a state that the light in the second wavelength band is focused on, and a third period of reading out signals corresponding to amount of charge generated in the photoelectric convertors.
