摘要: A vehicle battery charger and a vehicle battery charging system are described and illustrated, and can include a controller enabling a user to enter a time of day at which the vehicle battery charger or system begins and/or ends charging of the vehicle battery. The vehicle battery charger can be separate from the vehicle, can be at least partially integrated into the vehicle, can include a transmitter and/or a receiver capable of communication with a controller that is remote from the vehicle and vehicle charger, and can be controlled by a user or another party (e.g., a power utility) to control battery charging based upon a time of day, cost of power, or other factors.

摘要: A computer system comprising a processor device is configured to identify a charging start of the battery provided in an electric marine vessel, actuate, in response to identifying the charging start of the battery, a switch on a protective earth cable from a disconnected state to a connected state, wherein the PE cable is provided between a PE shore connection point on shore and a PE hull connection point on the vessel, initiate charging of the battery via a charging cable connecting the battery on the vessel to a power supply connection point on the shore, identify a charging end of the battery, and actuate, in response to identifying the charging end of the battery, the switch on the PE cable from the connected state to the disconnected state.

摘要: A hand held, portable jump starter device includes a multi-cell rechargeable battery with at least three battery cells connected in series, and a battery cell equalization circuit connected to the multi-cell rechargeable battery in parallel with the battery charge controller, wherein the battery cell equalization circuit includes an individual battery cell equalization circuit for each of the at least three battery cells, and wherein each of the individual battery cell equalization circuits is configured to discharge a particular battery cell upon the particular battery cell reaching a cell voltage exceeding a pre-determined upper voltage threshold until the particular battery cell reaches a pre-determined lower voltage level below the upper voltage threshold, and wherein the individual battery cell equalization circuits are configured to charge lower voltage individual battery cells at a higher rate allowing lower voltage individual battery cells to catch up in voltage to an individual battery cell having a highest voltage.

The charging protocol controller includes a first connector to terminate one or more signal wires of a charging cable. The charging protocol controller further includes a second connector to connect via a cable to a third connector of the EVSE, the second connector to terminate supply voltage and communication from the EVSE received over the cable that connects the second connector to the third connector. The charging protocol controller further includes one or more charging communication circuits. The charging protocol controller further includes a processor to perform: signal handshake and control, and communication between the EVSE and the charging protocol controller.

摘要: An access control system for electric vehicle charging is provided that includes an access device, a secure reservation interface, a reservation server and a smartphone application installed on the smartphone. The access device includes a short-range wireless communication module connected to a processor having control of an electric vehicle charger. The secure reservation interface receives a reservation request for a reservation at a given destination. The reservation server receives the reservation request for the destination, issues a reservation certificate, and transmits the reservation certificate from the reservation server to a smartphone. The smartphone application has access to a short range wireless communication setting corresponding to the access device. The access device receives the reservation certificate from the smartphone application based on use by the smartphone application of the short-range wireless communication setting. The processor activates the electric vehicle charger based on at least the receipt of the reservation certificate.

The bottom surface is configured to be closer to the ground than the top surface when the parking block is in an installed state. The parking block has a cord channel defined at a location within the parking block that is between the top surface and the bottom surface. The cord channel is a void configured to accept a cord that connects an electric vehicle (EV) charger to an EV charging port configured to physically connect to an EV.
