A method of removing a pollutant from an aqueous solution by contacting the aqueous solution having an initial concentration of the pollutant with the nanomaterial is also provided.

摘要: A method for making ternary core-shell semiconductor nanoparticles includes providing an emulsion including droplets dispersed in a continuous phase of a non-polar solvent. The droplets include a solution of ions of a Group I element and ions of a Group III element in a polar solvent, and are encapsulated by an interfacially active material. The emulsion is exposed to ions of a Group VI element to cause a reaction, thereby forming nanoparticles in the droplets. The nanoparticles in the droplets are with a first precursor to grow a shell on the nanoparticles, thereby forming core-shell nanoparticles. The core-shell nanoparticles are extracted from the emulsion; thermally annealed; and reacted with a second precursor to further grow the shell on the nanoparticles, thereby forming ternary core-shell semiconductor nanoparticles.

摘要: There is disclosed a hybrid composite anode for lithium-ion batteries comprising silicon nanoparticles, multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNTs) flakes, and a polymer binder which enables enhanced capacity retention of the hybrid composite anode. A process of fabrication of an anode for a lithium-ion battery is also disclosed, the process comprising the steps of fabricating carbon nanotube (CNT) mats on an anode current collector; dispersing the fabricated CNT mats in a mixture of deionized (DI) water to ethanol using a probe sonicator and magnetic stirrer; and adding silicon nanoparticles, multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNTs) flakes, and a polymer binder to the mixture, forming Si-MWCNT nanocomposite (SMC) anodes.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for producing a nanocellulosic material based on the use of fractioning of cellulosic pulp stream from pre-treatment or mechanical defibrillation (partially refined/defibrillated pulp) in combination with stages of mechanical defibrillation, in which both the accept fraction and the reject fraction can be conveyed to stages of consistency adjustments so as to precede another distinct defibrillation stage. For example, if the accept is conveyed to a consistency adjustment preceding a second defibrillation stage while the reject is conveyed to the other independent stage of consistency adjustment to return to the first stage of mechanical defibrillation.

摘要: A method for synthesis of iron-based nanoparticles is disclosed. The method includes mixing, an ascorbic acid solution with a citric acid solution to form a mixture. The mixture includes 20 mL of 0.1 M ascorbic acid solution and 20 mL of 1 M citric acid solution. The method also includes adding, a plurality of iron salts nitrate nonahydrate solution to ascorbic acid and citric acid mixture then stirring, the mixture using a magnetic stirrer and adding 8 ml of 0.005 M of Sodium Hexachloroplatinate Hexahydrate solution to the mixture. Further, the method includes adding a Sodium tetra hydrido borate to the mixture resulting in a black coloured solution along with effervescence and holding, the mixture undisturbed after the effervescence stops to obtain a green coloured solution. Furthermore, the method includes decanting, the green coloured solution, stirring at room temperature and obtaining, a plurality of iron nanoparticles.

The microtexture coating includes a coating layer disposed on a substrate with hydrophobic or superhydrophobic particles dispersed on top of or partially embedded in the coating layer to form an outer layer.
