摘要: An incinerator comprising a cylindrical housing and a plurality of burners is provided. Each burner is oriented to emit gas at an upward and radially inward angle such that the burners collectively generate an upward, helical gas flow. A method for incinerating gas in a cylindrical housing is provided. Flowing gas through a first burner, oriented at an angle, generates an upward, helical gas flow within the cylindrical housing and draws a gas flow through a second burner.

摘要: An inlet nozzle assembly, an abatement apparatus and a method are disclosed. The inlet nozzle assembly is for an abatement apparatus for treating an effluent stream from a semiconductor processing tool, the inlet nozzle assembly comprises: an inlet nozzle configured to deliver the effluent stream into an abatement chamber; a head defining an aperture for receiving the inlet nozzle; and an insulating mount configured to retain the inlet nozzle within the aperture. In this way, the thermal path between the inlet nozzle and the head is interrupted by the insulating mount which helps to prevent the inlet nozzle being cooled by the head, which helps to prevent condensates gathering as powder or particulates on the inlet nozzle.

摘要: A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.

摘要: A method of fabricating a burner element for an abatement apparatus is disclosed. The method comprises: injection moulding a charge comprising metal particles and a flow compound into a mould defining the burner element to produce a moulded burner element; and sintering the moulded burner element. In this way, injection moulding is used to produce the burner element, which provides far more flexibility regarding the design and properties of the burner element and avoids the necessity of incorporating a perforated support into the burner element. This allows burner elements of more intricate design to be produced, as well as burner elements which are thinner than those produced using existing techniques, which increases the volume of a combustion chamber defined by that burner element for any external burner element size, which in turn increases the amount of effluent gas that can be treated for any burner size.

摘要: A cylindrical heating unit of an exhaust gas processing device is installed in a reactor. The cylindrical heating unit is provided with an exhaust gas introduction port provided in an insertion base part and a heated exhaust gas outlet provided at insertion end. The cylindrical heating unit includes a hollow cylinder, insulators, electric heaters, and holding members. The hollow cylinder has a double structure with an inner cylinder and an outer cylinder made of metal. A plurality of the insulators surround the inner cylinder and are provided at intervals from each other in a heater installation space between the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder. Electric heaters are mounted to the insulators. The holding members are attached to one of the inner cylinder and the outer cylinder or both and hold the insulators in the heater installation space.

摘要: The invention relates to a burner as well as to a waste gas treatment device for generating a flame for the combustion of process gas, especially of contaminants, in a combustion chamber, in each case having feed lines for a fuel gas and for an oxidizing agent so that they flow into a pre-mixing chamber, and having an ignition device for igniting the gas mixture contained in the pre-mixing chamber. According to the invention, a sensor for detecting and/or monitoring the flame is provided on the burner, especially at one end of the burner situated opposite from the pre-mixing chamber.
