In addition, the techniques may include determining that the RUV is greater than a preconfigured threshold identifying an expensive request, and applying a load balancing strategy to the service request based on the RUV being greater than the preconfigured threshold.

摘要: Systems and methods, associated with a Segment Routing network including a plurality of nodes in a ring, include defining a first Flexible Algorithm having one or more first constraints for links in the ring to force traffic to flow in a first direction around the ring; and defining a second Flexible Algorithm having one or more second constraints for of the links in the ring to force traffic to flow in a second direction around the ring. A Path Computation Engine (PCE) is configured to group links on the computed path to the one or more rings, for each ring, determine a direction on an associated ring and assign the grouped links on the associated ring with a Flex-Algo SID for a final node in the determined direction, and provide a SID list that includes the Flex-Algo SIDs for the one or more rings, to a source node in a Segment Routing network.

摘要: A method for distributed flow steering in a cloud-based architecture includes assigning, by a first server, connection IDs to each of multiple data flows owned by the first server. The connection IDs each include a server ID that uniquely identifies the first server and that is included in a data packet header of each of the multiple data flows owned by the first server. The method further includes identifying, by the first server, a data flow characterized by a data packet header including a connection ID uniquely identifying a second server as the owner of the data flow, and redirecting the data flow to the second server.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed for a smart network interface card (smartNIC) performing a unified logging process. In one example, an accelerator transmits a packet to a programming data plane of the smart network interface card. The programming data plane determines whether the packet is to be forwarded. In accordance with a determination that the packet is not be forwarded, the programming data plane modifies the packet to include an instruction that instructs the accelerator to log the packet and to not forward the packet. The programming data plane transmits the modified packet to the accelerator. The accelerator logs data associated with the modified packet to a unified log based at least in part on the instruction.

摘要: Techniques for automatically providing per tenant weighted DCMP over shared transport interfaces and automated flow has load balancing are described. The techniques may include onboarding the tenant to the local multi-tenant edge device associated with a tenant, where the resource profile defines a traffic allowance per transport interface for the tenant. Local weight per transport interface is applied. Information including local weight per transport interface is transmitted to a remote device via an SD-WAN controller. Information including a remote weight per transport interface of the remote device is received via the SD-WAN controller. Traffic is routed from the tenant based on local weight per transport interface of the local device and remote weight per transport interface of the remote device.

摘要: A memory-efficient technique for performing weighted round-robin load balancing in a distributed computing system is described. In one example of the present disclosure, a system can determine an offset to apply to a list of node identifiers based on a counter value. The system can select a subset of node identifiers from the list of node identifiers based on the offset. The system can then select a node identifier from the subset of node identifiers based on the counter value and a length of the subset of node identifiers. The system can transmit data to a node that corresponds to the node identifier and increment the counter value. The system can repeat this process any number of times to distribute data among a group of nodes in the distributed computing system.

摘要: Technologies for quality of service based throttling in a fabric architecture include a network node of a plurality of network nodes interconnected across the fabric architecture via an interconnect fabric. The network node includes a host fabric interface (HFI) configured to facilitate the transmission of data to/from the network node, monitor quality of service levels of resources of the network node used to process and transmit the data, and detect a throttling condition based on a result of the monitored quality of service levels. The HFI is further configured to generate and transmit a throttling message to one or more of the interconnected network nodes in response to having detected a throttling condition. The HFI is additionally configured to receive a throttling message from another of the network nodes and perform a throttling action on one or more of the resources based on the received throttling message. Other embodiments are described herein.

摘要: There is provided a system and method for controlling network traffic. The method is conducted at a destination controller accessible by a server computer. Telemetry data is received by the destination controller from a plurality of network nodes managed by the server computer. A data transfer request originating from a user device is received by the destination controller. The destination controller accesses a list of stored network node addresses and applies one or more rules to the list of network node addresses to identify a network node address pointing to a network node for handling network traffic originating from the user device that generated the data transfer request. The network node identified by the destination controller then services the data transfer request, and transmits updated telemetry data of the network node to the destination controller where the list is updated.
