摘要: Disclosed are systems and techniques for efficient real-time codec encoding of video files. In one embodiment, the techniques include obtaining a first plurality of motion vectors of a first resolution, generating a second plurality of motion vectors of a second resolution, and calculating a first cost of the motion vector using a first cost function of a first size. The techniques include selecting a subset of motion vectors of the second plurality of motion vectors, calculating a second cost using a second cost function of a second size, and generating a plurality of combined motion vectors based on the subset of motion vectors. The techniques include calculating a third cost using the second cost function of the second size, selecting a final motion vector, and generating, based on the selected final motion vector, a block of predicted pixels that approximates a block of source pixels of an image frame.

摘要: A method of encoding a video stream in a video encoder is provided that includes computing an offset into a transform matrix based on a transform block size, wherein a size of the transform matrix is larger than the transform block size, and wherein the transform matrix is one selected from a group consisting of a DCT transform matrix and an IDCT transform matrix, and transforming a residual block to generate a DCT coefficient block, wherein the offset is used to select elements of rows and columns of a DCT submatrix of the transform block size from the transform matrix.

摘要: A display driver circuit configured to drive a display panel includes a memory, a decoder, and a controller. The memory stores first data using data from outside of the display driver circuit. The decoder decodes the stored first data. The controller generates compression data using the decoded first data. While an image based on the decoded first data is displayed on the display panel, when second data based on the data from the outside are not stored in the memory after the first data are stored in the memory, the controller controls the decoder such that the decoder does not operate and controls the memory such that the compression data are stored in the memory.

摘要: A method is described for generating a video stream by starting from a plurality of sequences of 2D and/or 3D video frames, wherein a video stream generator composes into a container video frame video frames coming from N different sources (S1, S2, S3, SN) and generates a single output video stream of container video frames which is coded by an encoder, wherein said encoder enters into the output video stream a signalling adapted to indicate the structure of the container video frames. A corresponding method for regenerating the video stream is also described.

摘要: Systems and methods for storing videos in a storage device, more specifically in a digital video recorder (DVR). The method includes determining, for each video, a condition indicating a need to reduce the size of a respective video is determined. The condition being at least a storage period of the respective video being greater than a threshold time period. Upon determination reducing the video size either by reducing at least one quality parameter of the respective video or by eliminating at least one video segment of the video corresponding to an uneventful region. Further after the size reduction, storing the respective video as a modified version of the respective video in the storage device. Further, the video or a portion of video comprising important events can be shared with a remote device.
