摘要: A communication network device facilitates communication between devices and/or applications in a network without requiring each device to register with every other device or application. The communication network device may generate and assign a unique identifier to each device or application upon registration and store a role of the device or application (e.g., sender or receiver or both) in addition to capability and compatibility information. The communication network device may then dynamically broker and manage communications from each of the devices or applications to other devices and applications in real-time. Using a communication network device, communications may be directed to devices or applications without requiring a sending device to know of the recipient's network address. Additionally, the communication network device allows for the direct targeting of communications to specific applications. Accordingly, in some arrangements, two applications running on the same device may receive different communications from another device or application.

The remote control device comprises a movement sensor, memory circuitry, a wireless interface, and processor circuitry configured to operate according to a movement model for identifying movement of the remote control device. The processor circuitry is configured to obtain, from the movement sensor, movement data indicative of movement of the remote control device. The processor circuitry is configured to determine, based on the movement data and by using the movement model, a user parameter indicative of a user of the remote control device. The processor circuitry is configured to determine whether the user parameter satisfies a first criterion. The processor circuitry is configured to, when the user parameter satisfies the first criterion, output the user parameter to a display device.

摘要: A method may include receiving a check-in request at a server of a consent management platform from a content-presentation device. The request may by or include an authentication certificate for establishing a secure communicative connection. A device token cryptographically-signed by the server, a global identifier (GID) unique to the content-presentation device, and a device-based device record may be received over the secure communicative connection. The server may retrieve a server-based device record for the device from a flat database using the GID as an index key, and then compare a device-based sequence number in the device-based device record with a server-based sequence number in the server-based device record. If the sequence numbers match, the server may send a check-in complete message to the content-presentation. If the sequence numbers do not match, the server may initiate a synchronization procedure with the content-presentation device.

The hub has a hardware processor which executes first computer instructions facilitating a conditions engine and second computer instructions facilitating a preferences engine. The preferences engine may identify a presentation preference and generate a preference instruction based on the presentation preference. The conditions engine, upon receiving the preference instruction, may identify a presentation condition and output a condition instruction to the presentation device. The system may include the presentation device, upon receiving the condition instruction, being configured in accordance with the presentation condition. The presentation preference may be an abstract preference, a technical preference, or a default preference. The presentation preference may be identified by the preferences engine based on a presentation setting, such as a location. The presentation condition may include at least one of an abstract condition, a technical condition, and a default condition.

摘要: Techniques for a smartphone-based conditional access (CA) system are described. In some embodiments, a headend in the CA system obtains a security profile associated with a pair of receiving devices used by a user, e.g., a first device (e.g., a smartphone) and a second device (e.g., a set-top-box or a TV). The headend dynamically regulates user access to requested media content during each entitlement period by assigning and distributing separate keys to the first and second device based on the security profile. The headend also uses the distributed keys to protect the media content before broadcasting. On the receiving end, one receiving device receives the media content and determines whether it is decryptable by the device. If decryptable, the receiving device (e.g., the set-top-box/TV) decrypts the media content using the keys assigned by the headend. Otherwise, the receiving device forwards the media content to the pairing device for decryption.
