Abstract:
A lubricant oil composition which is excellent in deposition resistance, corrosion resistance and wear resistance, despite its low phosphorus content and low sulfuric acid ash content, is provided by using a succinimide compound in combination with at least one selected from specific sulfur-containing compounds, specific heterocyclic compounds and reaction products thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of amines and/or Mannich adducts as detergents and/or dispersants in fuel and lubricant compositions for direction injection spark ignition engines. The invention also relates to fuel and lubricant compositions containing at least one such Mannich adduct, and to a bisaminoalkylated Mannich adduct.

Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To provide a biodegradable lubricating oil composition which has excellent biodegradability, a high viscosity index, a low pour point, a high flash point, being satisfactory with lubricity, oxidative stability, property of preventing the corrosion of iron and non-ferrous metals, and suitability for use with sealing materials. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] A biodegradable lubricating oil composition comprising (A) a synthetic ester base oil comprising at least 50 mass% hindered ester of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid with an aliphatic hindered polyol which has one or more quaternary carbon atoms per molecule and in which at least one of the quaternary carbon atoms has one to four methylol groups bonded thereto and (B) ingredients which are (a) 0.1 to 5.0 mass% phenolic antioxidant, (b) 0.01 to 2.0 mass% calcium sulfonate having a low base number, and (c) 0.01 to 1.0 mass% triazole compound, and has the degree of biodegradation of 60 % or higher when examined by the test for the degree of microbial degradation of chemical substances according to the OECD Test Guideline 301C method.
Abstract:
A lubricant additive which comprises a succinimide compound or a boronization product thereof is advantageously used for preparation of a lubricant composition which can maintain the property of anti-shudder for a long time without decreasing the transmission torque capacity or the friction coefficient between metals. The succinimide compound is obtained by reacting (a) succinic acid substituted with an alkenyl or alkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms or an anhydride thereof with (b) a polyalkylenepolyamine comprising a polyalkylenepolyamine having a ring structure at an end in an amount of at least 5% by mole of the entire amount of the polyalkylenepolyamine and is represented by following general formula (1):
(In the formula, R 1 represents an alkenyl or alkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, m represents an integer of 2 to 4, n represents an integer of 0 to 3, and A represents the ring structure in the polyalkylenepolyamine having a ring structure at an end or a mixed structure comprising the ring structure and an amino group.)
Abstract:
This invention relates to a lubricant comprising (A) a basic metal salt of an acidic organic compound and (B) a hydrocarbyl phosphite, provided that the lubricant is free of metal deactivators. In one aspect the lubricant is a manual transmission fluid. The lubricants provide good friction, good antiwear and thermal stability properties.
