    摘要: A spindle motor comprises a housing 10 including a through hole with a pair of apertures, one of the apertures being closed by a thrust plate 70 and the other aperture being open; a bearing 60 accommodated in the housing 90; a rotating shaft 30 inserted into the bearing 60; a displacement restraining structure for restraining movement of the rotating shaft 30 toward the open aperture by engaging the rotation shaft 30 with the bearing 60; a rotating member secured to the rotating shaft; and a motor generating electromagnetic function for rotating the rotating member. The through hole of the housing 90 includes a large diameter portion 92A at the thrust plate 70 side and a small diameter portion 92B at the open aperture side, and a stepped portion 93 is formed at a transition portion between the large diameter portion 92A and the small diameter portion 92B. At least a portion of the bearing 60 is located at the large diameter portion 92A side of the housing 90, and engages with the stepped portion 93 of the housing 90.

    摘要: The spindle motor includes a rotational shaft 30 which has a conical portion 34, whose outer surface gradually widens toward a thrust dynamic pressure bearing 70, and a straight portion 33 with a fixed outer diameter. Radial dynamic pressure bearing 60 supports the radial load of the rotating shaft 30. The radial bearing has a conical bearing surface 64 and a straight bearing surface 63 corresponding to the conical portion 34 and the straight portion 33 of the rotating shaft 30, respectively. Rotating shaft 30 is supported and aligned during rotation by fluid dynamic forces generated by the conical portion 34.

    摘要: A cowling structure for a saddle-ride type vehicle for cooling an engine and providing a windshield for a rider. The cowling structure includes a seat for a rider to sit thereon, the seat is arranged behind and above an engine suspended from a vehicle body frame. An under cowl covers at least part of a lower portion of the engine. The under cowl is formed to cover at least part of a side surface of the engine. A guide portion is provided in an upper portion of the under cowl, the guide portion extending inward in a vehicle width direction and toward the side surface of the engine. An opening is provided in front of the guide portion, the opening introducing a flow of air into the under cowl. The guide portion has a slope surface which slopes downward from the front to the rear of the vehicle.

    摘要: Provided is a gate valve for opening and closing an aperture formed in a body of a chamber and designed so that an object is loaded into or unloaded from the chamber, comprising a lift mechanism provided on a side portion of the chamber body, a supporting portion supported by a lift mechanism for up-and-down motion, a valve plate supported by the supporting portion and movable between a closed position such as to close the aperture of the chamber body and an open position such that the valve plate is separated from the aperture to leave the aperture open as the supporting portion is moved up and down by the lift mechanism, and a separating mechanism for allowing the valve plate to move to a position ahead of the aperture so that the valve plate is separated from the aperture.
