    摘要: A semiconductor memory device comprises a gate electrode provided via a gate insulating film on a semiconductor layer formed on a substrate and two diffused semiconductor regions provided to form a field effect transistor together with the gate electrode. An electrical charge is supplied to one of the diffused regions from the other region to thereby vary a width of a space charge layer appearing around the one diffused region so that informations "1" and "0" are selectively stored in the device. The stored information is read-out by detecting presence or absence of a buried channel between the space charge layer and the substrate.

    摘要: The microstrip antenna embodying the present invention employs a dielectric material that forms part of a motor vehicle body shell as a dielectric composing element thereof. The motor vehicle-mounted GPS receiver comprising an outer unit, an inner unit, a wireless signal transfer device for transferring signals between the outer unit and the inner unit, and a power source for supplying an electric power to the outer unit, whereby the signal transfer device is provided by a radio receiver installed in the inner unit or by a coupling capacitor consisting of a pair of flat plates and the dielectric motor vehicle body shell sandwiched therebetween. According to the present invention, there is no need of providing the finished motor vehicles with through holes and it is quite simple to equip the finished motor vehicle with the GPS receiver.

    摘要: Disclosed is an information distribution system in which a receiving terminal installed in a mobile object can reliably receive high quality distribution information from the beginning. The information distribution system comprises data transmission units, each for transmitting a plurality of data signals including same distribution information using a plurality of different radio channels with sequentially delaying the transmission start time of the data signals; an auxiliary transmission unit for transmitting signals according to communication status of the data transmission units; a communication control unit for controlling the auxiliary transmission unit and the data transmission units; and detection means for detecting the velocity control information for the mobile object. A receiving terminal for receiving the data signals transmitted from the data transmission units is installed on the mobile object. The communication control unit selects a data transmission unit in a communication status according to the velocity control information out of the data transmission units, and controls the auxiliary transmission unit so as to notify the receiving terminal of the communication information corresponding thereto.

The information providing server includes a segment information DB for storing segment information for identifying segments contained in the content digest. When performing a digest view, the recording/reproducing device acquires the segment information and creates digest data on the content recorded. In the recording/reproducing device, the digest data is corrected according to view support information for inserting an explanation screen acquired from the view support information DB of the information providing server, thus improving the quality of view of the segment contained in the digest.

    摘要: A GPS receiver includes a power supplying status detector for deriving a power-on or power-off signal by detecting a power supplying status of the GPS receiver, a clock for measuring time, a memory controller for controlling a nonvolatile memory upon receiving the power-off signal to store a time measured by the clock when the power is turned off or a time when the last ephemeris data is obtained and the last ephemeris data, and a position calculating circuitry for calculating the position of the user station upon receiving the power-on signal. A time duration is calculated from the time measured by the clock and the time stored in the nonvolatile memory. If it is determined that the measured time duration is shorter than a predetermined period of time, the positioning is performed based on the respective ephemeris data stored in the nonvolatile memory, whereas if it is determined that the measured time duration is no less than the predetermined period of time, the positioning is performed based on ephemeris data newly collected from the respective GPS satellites.
