摘要: A blood flow stimulator may help encourage blood flow in a limb of a patient. The blood flow stimulator may include a housing configured for sealing about the limb of the patient. The housing may include a sealable volume, and the sealable volume may receive the limb of the patient. The blood flow stimulator may include a seal, and the seal may be coupled with the housing. The seal may engage with at least a portion of the limb, for instance to segregate the sealable volume from a surrounding environment of the blood flow stimulator. The blood flow stimulator may include a conduit extending through the housing. The conduit mat help provide access to the sealable volume, for instance from the surrounding environment. In some examples, an adjustable stent is utilized to enhance blood flow within vasculature of a patient. A stent operator may change a size of the stent.

摘要: A device (900) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102 intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section defining a leg insertion aperture (104). A first compression wrap member (301) and a second compression wrap member (302) extend from the leg engaging section. An inflatable bladder (501) can be disposed along the leg engaging section between the leg insertion aperture and a compressible cushion layer (902). The inflatable bladder can be selectively inflatable through a connection tube (502) exiting the inflatable bladder at a non-orthogonal angle (504) relative to an edge (507) of the inflatable bladder. The leg engaging section can define at least one channel to permit the connection tube to exit the device.

摘要: Devices, systems, and methods for percussion therapy of a patient's torso area provide percussive force to release and/or dislodge mucous from respiratory airways of a human patient. Such devices, systems, and methods may include a torso covering for securing to a patient's torso, percussive devices coupled to the torso covering, and an attachment assembly for supporting the torso covering. The percussive devices may include a percussion frame, an electromechanically actuated percussor for controlled movement between end positions, and resilient members attached to opposite ends of the percussion frame for assisting controlled movement of the percussor. The devices, systems, and methods disclosed herein provide efficient and comfortable high-frequency percussive force to a patient's torso, reducing stress on the patient and improving patient experience.

摘要: The invention relates to a system for adjusting pressure locally acting on the skin. Said system includes a set of adjacent modules distributed so as to form a layer. Each module includes a cushion capable of changing shape and comprising a cavity, a valve, a tank, and a pressure sensor, wherein the cavity and the tank are in communication with each other by means of the valve, and the sensor is placed so as to sense pressure directly or indirectly acting on the cushion. The system also includes a feedback loop arranged such as to increase or decrease the change in the shape of the cushion on the basis of the pressure detected by the sensor. The system according to the invention can be built into a shoe so as to re-establish normal plantar pressure under the entire sole of the foot, which is particularly desirable for athletes or for patients suffering from diabetes mellitus or leprosy. It is also possible to incorporate the system according to the invention into a (bed or wheelchair) mattress so as to prevent decubitus ulcers in patients with neurological diseases (hemiplegia, paraplegia, tetraplegia, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and any other sensory and/or motor deficit diseases.

摘要: A pressotherapy apparatus including a device for forming a treatment enclosure to be placed around a section of the body. The device has inflatable and deflatable cells having an upper membrane and a lower membrane which are connected together. The cells are supported by an external wall opposite a body surface of the device. The cells are disposed in a stack between two end cells. The cells between the end cells are stacked by overlapping in a position inclined between a high-end near to the external wall and a low end near to the body surface. The cells of the stack have an active portion of the upper membrane extending from the low end not covered by the lower membrane of an adjacent cell above.
