摘要: A system and method for patient data processing during diagnosis and therapy of a patient's sleep disorder breathing. The system and method includes providing diagnostic providers and therapy device providers with a simple and fast way to generate a clinical diagnosis from a diagnostic device and to transfer that patient's record and diagnostic data to the therapy provider responsible for the patient's ongoing care. The patient may be automatically assigned therapy devices having predetermined therapy settings that are based on the patient's record and diagnostic data.

摘要: A respiratory mask system includes a mask interface and a headgear assembly. The headgear assembly is adjustable and comprised of an elastic portion, a non-elastic portion and a restriction mechanism configured to provide a force resisting movement of the non-elastic portion when the elastic portion is extended. There is a support beam coupled to the non-elastic portion and extending along a portion of the headgear that is curved along its longitudinal extent. In this way particular seal modules can be comfortably fitted to a user and any blow off force is mitigated. A particular example of the respiratory mask system includes provision for removable attachment between the seal and a mask frame, the mask frame and a yoke of the headgear; and between a conduit and the mask frame.

摘要: A seal-forming structure for a patient interface may include a patient-contacting surface configured to engage the patient's facial skin to form a seal; a posterior opening formed in the patient-contacting surface, the posterior opening configured to provide the flow of air at said therapeutic pressure to the patient's nares; and a support structure extending from the patient contacting surface to an interior surface of the seal-forming structure, the support structure and the interior surface forming a continuous loop, wherein the patient interface is configured to allow the patient to breath from ambient through their mouth in the absence of a flow of pressurised air through the plenum chamber inlet port, or the patient interface is configured to leave the patient's mouth uncovered.

摘要: A mask apparatus for a respiratory treatment can permit delivery of breathable gas to a user. In one example, the mask may employ a frame and cushion to form a seal for both mouth and nose. The frame may be adapted for coupling with a respiratory treatment apparatus so as to permit communication of a pressurized gas from the respiratory treatment apparatus. The cushion, which may be foam, may have a substantially under the nose configuration or over the nose configuration. The mask may have a common plenum chamber for both nose and mouth. The cushion may further define a centrally open lip superior region. The cushion may be adapted to couple with the frame directly or to the frame in conjunction with a cushion support clip. Various features of the cushion may further promote sealing and comfort for the under the nose design.

摘要: A sealing arrangement for forming a seal between a patient's face and a patient interface device for use in delivering a flow of a treatment gas to the patient includes a generally planar substrate body having a first side and an opposite second side. The substrate body includes a main portion having an opening defined therethrough that is sized and configured to encompass the mouth and nose of the patient. The sealing arrangement further includes a first adhesive layer disposed on the first side of the substrate body and a second adhesive layer disposed on the second side of the substrate body. The first adhesive layer is sized and configured to adhere to the skin of the patient with a first adherence force and the second adhesive layer is sized and configured to adhere to a cushion of the patient interface device with a lesser second adherence force.

摘要: A patient interface including a seal-forming structure with a textile membrane. The textile membrane has at least one hole such that the flow of air at a therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patient's nares. The seal-forming structure is constructed and arranged to maintain the therapeutic pressure in a cavity of a plenum chamber throughout the patient's respiratory cycle, in use. The textile membrane includes a first portion that is held in a relaxed state and a second portion that is held in a taut state. The taut state of the second portion is configured to allow the seal-forming structure to include a three-dimensional shape that has multiple curvatures.

摘要: A mask for delivering breathable gas to a patient at positive pressure to treat sleep disordered breathing, may comprise: a rigid mask frame having a bore and an interfacing structure, the interfacing structure being located on the rigid mask frame and along a peripheral edge of the bore, said mask frame having no built-in or integral headgear attachment points; a sealing cushion provided to the rigid mask frame and adapted to form a seal with the patient's face, the rigid mask frame and the sealing cushion together forming, at least partly, a breathing cavity; and a headgear connector adapted to engage the interfacing structure with a snap-fit, said headgear connector including a pair of lower headgear clip anchors adapted to be engaged with respective ones of a pair of lower headgear clips to attach a pair of lower side straps, said headgear connector including a fixed forehead support.

摘要: A system for reducing airway obstructions of a patient may include a ventilator, a control unit, a gas delivery circuit with a proximal end in fluid communication with the ventilator and a distal end in fluid communication with a nasal interface, and a nasal interface. The nasal interface may include at least one jet nozzle, and at least one spontaneous respiration sensor in communication with the control unit for detecting a respiration effort pattern and a need for supporting airway patency. The system may be open to ambient. The control unit may determine more than one gas output velocities. The more than one gas output velocities may be synchronized with different parts of a spontaneous breath effort cycle, and a gas output velocity may be determined by a need for supporting airway patency.
