Abstract: The present invention relates to a carpet tile or carpet strip which is suitable for the contract market, more particularly office or commercial buildings, comprising a machine or mechanically woven carpet, comprising warp and weft yarns, a needle felt, an intermediate layer between the needle felt and the machine or mechanically woven fabric, wherein a part of the warp yarns on the back side of the machine or mechanically woven fabric have at least partially fused together. The invention also relates to a method for the manufacture of a carpet tile or carpet strip which is suitable for the contract market, in particular office and commercial buildings.

Abstract: The present invention may provide a screen used for screen golf, which can improve the brightness and clarity of the image projected on the screen by suppressing the light of the image from passing through the screen and increasing the reflectance of light from the front of the screen when an image is output by a projector on the screen. In addition, despite repeated golf shots of many users, the brightness and clarity of the image projected on the screen may not be damaged.

Abstract: An isocyanate-functional prepolymer comprises the reaction product of: (A) a polyol; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two carbinol-functional groups per molecule; and (C) a polyisocyanate. Components (A) to (C) are utilized to provide a stoichiometric excess of isocyanate-functional groups in component (C) over the total amount of isocyanate-reactive groups of components (A) and (B). An isocyanate component comprising the isocyanate-functional prepolymer is also disclosed. The isocyanate component also comprises (E) a filler. In addition, a composition is disclosed, which comprises the isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component. Further, a method of preparing a coating with the composition is disclosed, which method comprises applying the composition on a substrate and forming the coating from the composition on the substrate. A coated substrate comprising the substrate and a coating disposed on the substrate, the coating being formed from the composition, is additionally disclosed.

Abstract: The invention pertains to a method to manufacture a textile product comprising a first sheet having polymer yarns fastened to this sheet to form a pile thereon, the method comprising providing the sheet, stitching the polymer yarns through the sheet to form the pile on a first surface of the sheet and loops of the yarns at a second surface of the sheet, heating the second surface of the sheet to at least partly melt the loops of the yarns to fasten the yarns to the sheet, wherein the method comprises measuring a roughness of the second surface with the at least partly molten loops of the yarns thereon, after the at least partly molten loops have solidified and, if the roughness differs from a predetermined surface roughness, adapting the method to manufacture the textile product, in order to obtain a second surface roughness that differs from the measured surface roughness. The invention also pertains to a device for applying this method.

Abstract: The carpet tile system uses preferably Aluminum Hydroxide (Al(OH)3) as a flame retardant in the secondary backing of the carpet tile or in the pre-coat adhesive on the primary backing, or alternatively uses Magnesium Hydroxide (Mg(OH)2). The flame retardant has been optimized to interact with the other components of the system to produce a carpet tile that achieves flammability ratings that are comparable or superior to carpet tiles with more expensive pile fibers.
