摘要:
This invention relates to an artificial leather having a laminated structure and a process for producing such product. The artificial leather comprises a non-woven matt formed from bast fibres, more particularly fibres obtained from hemp plants. The fibres in the non-woven matt are impregnated with a polymer, such as a polyester or polyurethane. The artificial leather includes the non-woven matt as a discrete bottom layer in a laminated structure also comprising a discrete intermediate layer of a binder material and a discrete top layer of a polymer coating material.
摘要:
A textile fabric having improved properties, variously including surface stability, abrasion resistance, resistance to edge fraying, moisture control, and resistance to fluid penetration is created by introducing a polymeric solution or a plurality of low-melting particles suspended in a liquid into the textile fabric while leaving a plurality of surface fibers exposed and maintaining a textile feel on the surface.
摘要:
Provided is a composite textile and its method, and the method comprises providing a fabric layer and a membrane layer, wherein the melting point of the fabric layer is higher than that of the membrane layer; attaching the fabric layer to the membrane layer to form a stacked structure; heating the stacked structure at a pre-heat temperature, and then heating and pressing the stacked structure at a hot-press temperature and under a hot-press pressure to form a combined structure, wherein the pre-heat temperature is lower than the hot-pressure temperature, and the hot-press pressure is between 0.1 kg/cm2 and 100 kg/cm2; and cooling the combined structure to obtain a composite textile. The method of the present invention does not use any organic solvent and the problem of residual organic solvents in the composite textile is avoided.

Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for using nonwoven materials for evacuation slides, life rafts, life vests, and other life-saving inflatable devices. The nonwoven materials have a substrate layer with continuous filaments formed in various directions.

Disclosed herein are methods of producing externally stabilized, poromeric synthetic leathers having improved peel strength, the methods comprising: preparing a prepolymer from a mixture comprising at least one polyester polyol, at least one polyether polyol, at least one isocyanate and optionally in a solvent; mixing the prepolymer, water, and a first surfactant; optionally add a second chain extender to form a PUD; preparing a mixture comprising said PUD, at least one surfactant, and at least one thickener; frothing said mixture; applying the frothed mixture to a fabric and thereby forming a coated fabric; adjusting the thickness of the frothed mixture on the coated fabric; drying the coated fabric. Methods of improving the peel strength of poromeric synthetic leathers are also disclosed. Externally stabilized synthetic leathers having improved peel strength are also disclosed.

Bioremediation geocomposite articles, and their method of manufacture, for treating (digesting) contaminants in soil or water. The bioremediating geocomposite mat includes a woven or non-woven geotextile, having a thickness of about 6 mm to about 200 mm. In the preferred embodiment, outer layers of the geocomposite article have a porosity sufficient to receive a powdered or granular contaminant-reactive material, contaminant-sorptive material, or a contaminant-neutralizing material in at least outer portions of the thickness across its entire major surface(s) for better contact of the bacteria with contaminants held by the powdered or granular material. In the most preferred embodiment, liquid-permeable cover sheets are adhered to the upper and lower major surfaces of the bacterial-containing geotextile article to prevent a powdered or granular material from escaping from the geotextile during transportation and installation.

A wind resistant and water vapor permeable composite fabric is provided. The composite fabric includes an inner fabric layer, an outer fabric layer, and an intermediate vapor barrier. The vapor barrier may be selected from an adhesive material or an adhesive/membrane combination that is designed so that the fabric has a variable water vapor diffusion resistance which substantially decreases as air speed impinging on the fabric increases.

A protective drainage wrap comprises a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises cross-woven or cross-laminate material in the machine direction and in the transverse direction. The material in the machine direction comprises a polyolefin, polyester, nylon or combinations thereof and has a first thickness. The material in the transverse direction comprises a polyolefin, polyester, nylon or combinations thereof and has a second thickness. The second thickness is at least about 2 times greater than the first thickness so as to assist in providing drainage for moisture build-up. The second portion is a coating comprising a polyolefin, polyester, nylon or combinations thereof. The first and second portions are located adjacent to each other. According to one embodiment, the material in the transverse direction is yarn.

An artificial leather includes a resin layer as the surface and a base fabric connected to the resin layer as the substrate. The base fabric comprises at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates. Each monolayer structure is woven with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in such layer or with some of the warp yarns and/or weft yarns in one or more other layers to form a number of connecting points, such that at least two monolayer structures arranged in an orderly manner as two laminates are connected with each other in the weaving process, forming a multi-layer integrated base fabric. The artificial leather incorporates a number of air vent holes distributed in the resin layer and the base fabric in the direction of thickness while retaining mechanical properties of tensile strength and tear resistance.
