    摘要: A mechanical coolant pump for an internal combustion engine includes a pump housing configured to be stationary. The pump housing comprises an internal pneumatic actuator supplied by a pneumatic supply device. A pump wheel comprises a pump wheel shaft. The pump wheel shaft is rotatably supported by the pump housing. A driven shaft is directly connected to a pulley-wheel. An internal pneumatic clutch unit comprises a fixed clutch disk attached to the driven shaft or to the pump wheel shaft, and an axially slidable clutch disk. The slidable clutch disk is arranged at the pump wheel shaft or at the driven shaft and is rotatably fixed to the pump wheel shaft or to the driven shaft. The internal pneumatic actuator axially actuates the slidable clutch disk. The driven shaft is connectable to the pump wheel shaft via the internal pneumatic clutch unit.

    摘要: According to the present invention, the cooling apparatus is equipped with a thermostat for opening or closing a water passage between a radiator and a water-cooled engine and a cooling water passage switching valve for switching a water introducing passage for introducing the cooling water around a thermosensitive member of the thermostat. When the engine is in a high-load operating condition and when the temperature of the cooling water is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature, the cooling water immediately after having flowed out of the water-cooled engine flows into around the thermosensitive member of the thermostat by the operation of the cooling water passage switching valve. As a result, the thermostat is operated in response to the temperature of the high temperature cooling water having flowed out of the water-cooled engine, and the set temperature of the cooling water by the thermostat can be shifted to a lower temperature. In this way, it is possible to prevent preferably an excessive rise in the temperature of the cooling water not only when the engine is in a high-load operating condition but also when the engine is in a state of hot soak such as in idling after the vehicle has travelled on an upward slope with a low speed.

    摘要: The invention relates to a closing cap (10) for the fixed tubing of a motor vehicle radiator, comprising an inner part (14) with a flow connection means between the inside and the outside of the container, as well as a distributing mechanism for freeing and closing the flow connection means. A valve body (22) of the distributing mechanism (11), which can be reciprocated, is compressed under pre-stress towards the inside of the container against a sealing seat (21) at the inner part (14) of the cap, so that said valve body can be lifted from said sealing seat (21) when a threshold value of the pressure inside the container is exceeded. In order to produce a closing cap (10) which does not open in case of overpressure resulting from heat accumulation and which ensures that the container is protected in case of a continuing increase of pressure, in a simple and cost-effective way, the invention provides for in-use controlled adjustment of the pre-stress used for compressing the valve body (22) against the sealing seat (21).
