Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an X-ray tube includes an anode target, a cathode including a filament and a convergence electrode which includes a groove portion, and an envelope. The groove portion includes a pair of first bottom surfaces which are located in the same plane as the filament and between which the filament is interposed in a width direction of the groove portion, and a pair of second bottom surfaces between which the filament and the pair of first bottom surfaces are interposed in a length direction of the groove portion and which are located closer to an opening of the groove portion than the pair of first bottom surfaces.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for dynamically redistributing timing and synchronization in a packet switched network are provided. One method includes creating, by a slave node, a peer list comprising an identifier of at least one peer slave node that shares a same master node as the slave node or that has a certain predefined affinity with the slave node. The method may also include announcing a holdover time of the slave node to the at least one peer slave node, and, when a predefined event occurs, announcing to the at least one peer slave node that the slave node is taking on a mini-master role for at least the announced holdover time.
Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a mobile communication terminal with a GPS function capable of further varying the positioning performance of each positioning mode preinstalled in the terminal. A GPS positioning section of the mobile communication terminal with the GPS function can perform positioning in a plurality of positioning modes using the A-GPS system. When a GPS control section of the mobile communication terminal with the GPS function causes the GPS positioning section to perform positioning, the GPS control section sets a positioning mode in the GPS positioning section, varies an allowable error of a communication synchronizing clock established between the terminal and a base station as a parameter relating to the positioning performance of GPS positioning based on the A-GPS system in which a fixed value has been conventionally used, and sets the allowable error in GPS positioning means.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a transport stream synchronizing system for synchronizing transport streams output from a plurality of transponders and decoded by a plurality of tuners. The transport stream synchronizing system comprises a tuner selector operable to select one transport stream out of a plurality of transport streams decoded by the plurality of tuners, a transport packet synchronizer operable receive the transport stream selected by the tuner selector, and synchronize the received transport stream; and a transport packet arbiter and router operable to receive a synchronized transport stream from the selected tuner, and route the received synchronized transport stream to a predetermined destination.
Abstract:
In a terrestrial station of a TDMA communication network, a TDMA frame includes a particular time slot shared by the station and other stations of the network. In order to increase communication traffic, each station can send a transmission burst in the particular time slot in addition to a preassigned time slot which is preassigned to the station. In response to a reception burst received through a prescribed time slot, the station determines whether or not it can send the transmission burst to the particular time slot. This makes it possible to change the communication traffic without causing overlap of bursts in the particular time slot.
Abstract:
In a single-gun, plural-beam color picture tube in which two beams emerge from a focusing lens along paths that diverge from a central beam emerging along the optical axis of the lens by which all of the beams are focused on the color screen, and the divergent beams are deflected to converge with the central beam by passage through respective electrical fields established between first spaced plates, at opposite sides of the central beam path, and second plates spaced outwardly from the first plates; such plates are disposed closely adjacent to the main deflection yoke by which the beams are made to scan the screen so that the length of the tube can be minimized, and the misconvergence of the beams that may result from the magnetic field produced between the first plates by reason of a current flow induced in the first plates by flux change of the magnetic field of the main deflection yoke is corrected by providing the second plates with different dimensional relationships to the first plates, for example, different distances from the first plates or different distances along the first plates, so that the deflecting effects of the electrical fields are correspondingly different.
Abstract:
A load-side voltage detection module for a metrology device includes a plurality of first resistors electrically coupled to a first load-side terminal, the first resistors being in series, a plurality of second resistors electrically coupled to a second load-side terminal, the second resistors being in series, a voltage divider electrically coupled between a first line-side terminal and a second line-side terminal, the voltage divider creating a reference voltage for the load-side voltage detection module, and a pulse generator to generate a pulse based on detection of voltage, the pulse indicating a voltage on at least one of the first load-side terminal or the second load-side terminal, above at least one threshold.
