Abstract:
A method comprising placing elements in a layout, performing clock tree synthesis, and performing routing. The method further comprising, in parallel with one of the clock tree synthesis or the routing, performing a footprint based optimization, substituting a footprint equivalent element in a path based on a timing slack of the path.
Abstract:
Various articles of apparel having a cylindrical portion, such as an arm region or a leg region, for extending around a joint (such as an elbow or a knee) of a wearer are disclosed. The cylindrical portion includes a textile material, for example, and a pattern located on a surface of the textile material or knitted into the textile material. The pattern has a first density in at least one area of the cylindrical portion oriented substantially parallel to a plane of bending of the joint, and the pattern has a second density in at least one area of the cylindrical portion oriented substantially perpendicular to the plane of bending of the joint. A purpose of the pattern may be to decrease the probability of an overuse syndrome or other injury occurring as a result of use of the joint.
Abstract:
Methods, apparatus, and systems for electronic device recovery are disclosed. An example method includes determining that a software request received from a computing device includes an indication of a repair mode of an electronic device, determining a characteristic of the electronic device, determining software to be provided to the electronic device based on the characteristic, and in response to determining that the software request includes the indication of the repair mode, transmitting location information for the software to the computing device.
Abstract:
A modular air delivery system for supplying treated air to plural individuals wearing ventilation cooling garments. These garments are formed of comfortable and flexible air permeable inner layer and an air impermeable outer layer to define a plurality of air channels therebetween. In one disclosed embodiment, a flexible channel support is disposed between the inner and outer layer to prevent the layers from collapsing together during use.
Abstract:
Protective components may include a plate element and a cushioning element that are secured together with a hook-and-loop fastening system. The cushioning element may include a pair of material layers and a plurality of pads located between the material layers. The plate element may include a polymer material and the pads may include a polymer foam material, with the polymer material of the plate element having greater rigidity and density than the polymer foam material of the pads.
Abstract:
A method of controlling operation of an adjustable shutter in a vehicle includes operating the shutter between and inclusive of fully-opened and fully-closed positions to regulate an amount of ambient air flowing into the vehicle. The shutter is arranged relative to a vehicle grille opening that is adapted for receiving the flow of ambient air. The method also includes sensing via a moisture sensor a level of moisture in the ambient air. The method additionally includes selecting a first predetermined position of the shutter when the level of moisture has reached a threshold moisture value to alter the amount of ambient air flowing into the vehicle through the shutter. A vehicle using a controller to perform such a method is also provided.
Abstract:
An article of apparel may include may include a garment portion and at least one protective element. The garment portion and the protective element have a configuration that forms a gap, separation, or pleat structure through, for example, folding or overlapping of a textile element of the garment portion. The gap, separation, or pleat structure may permit the protective element to move independent of other portions of the apparel, thereby enhancing a range of movement of the individual and the overall comfort of the apparel.
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing the cushioning elements may include utilizing a die with a plurality of die elements positioned in a particular arrangement. A polymer material, which may be a polymer foam material, is located between the die and an extractor. The polymer material is compressed between the die and the extractor, and the die elements cut the polymer material to form a plurality of pad components, which are arranged like the die elements. The die and the extractor are separated, and the pad components are secured to the extractor in the arrangement of the die elements. Additionally, the pad components are bonded to at least one material layer such that the pad components remain in the arrangement of the die elements.
Abstract:
A pad element may include a base member, a pair of cover layers, and a plurality of insert elements. The base member defines a plurality of apertures. The cover layers are secured to opposite surfaces of the base member and extend across the apertures. The insert elements are located within the apertures and between the cover layers. As examples, the base member and the insert elements may be formed from polymer foam materials, and the cover layers may be formed from textile materials. The pad element may be utilized to attenuate impact forces and provide one or more of breathability, flexibility, a relatively low overall mass, and launderability.
