    摘要: Disclosed is an animal litter that includes a palm oil residue, possibly in combination with another absorbent material such as whole ground grain, virgin germ, seed meal, spent germ or clay. The palm oil residue may be palm kernel cake, palm oil sludge, or palm pressed fiber. Also disclosed are a method for removing animal waste and a process for preparing an animal litter. The method for removal of animal waste includes allowing an animal to excrete waste into a container that includes a litter, the litter comprising a palm oil residue. The process for preparing an animal litter comprises combining the materials that make up the litter to form the litter.

    摘要: The present invention pertains to the use of the protein phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, as well as the biologically-active derivatives of the said protein for preventing or treating diseases associated with a phenylalanine imbalance in a human or animal body.     摘要: A dark-field imaging method for detecting defects in reflective lithography masks (e.g., extreme ultraviolet (EUV) masks) used, e.g., in processes for the fabrication of microelectronic devices. A mask blank is coated with a photoresist layer having a fluorescent dye incorporated therein. The photoresist layer is exposed to a source of radiation (e.g., EUV radiation or glancing soft X-rays). In areas of the mask blank having defects the combined direct and reflected radiation will be insufficient fully to expose the photoresist layer. After development, photoresist will remain on the mask blank surface in areas corresponding to defects. Illumination with the excitation wavelength of the fluorescent dye reveals the location of any remaining photoresist, which can be detected using an optical microscope, thereby to detect defects in the mask blank.

The polymers of the invention arc useful in the formation of films and coatings with high chemical resistance and good physical properties. The ionomers of the invention are useful in electrochemical applications, particularly in lithium batteries. The polymeric compositions of the invention are useful for strong acid catalysis, such as Friedel-Crafts alkylation.
