    摘要: A fuel tank comprising a fuel inlet pipe and a canister housing which surrounds the upper portion of the fuel inlet pipe. A valve body is arranged in the upper portion of the fuel inlet pipe. A fuel vapor passage continuously connected to the interior of the fuel tank is formed between the valve body and the upper portion of the fuel inlet pipe. The valve body has a valve portion cooperating with a cap. When the cap is screwed into the threaded bore formed in the canister housing, the valve body disconnects the fuel vapor passage from the canister housing. When the cap is unscrewed, the fuel vapor passage is connected to the canister housing.

A common connecting passage and branch connecting passages which are connected to the common connecting passage are provided. Each of the branch connecting passages opens into the respective intake port located downstream of the corresponding throttle valve. Another common connecting passage is provided. The branch mixture passages located upstream of the throttle valves are interconnected to each other via the other common connecting passage.

    摘要: An engine includes a double barreled carburetor. A sensor mounted to the exhaust system detects the concentration of a component in the exhaust. A control unit, based on a signal from the sensor, dispatches a control signal to an air bleed control valve to vary its resistance. Primary and secondary path systems lead from the outlet of the air bleed control valve and respectively supply primary bleed air into the fuel which is being supplied into the primary barrel of the carburetor and secondary bleed air into the fuel which is being supplied into the secondary barrel of the carburetor. A one way valve is fitted in the secondary path system so as to allow air flow only towards the secondary barrel, and not away therefrom. Thus, when both barrels are opened, bleed air is sucked in to the primary barrel through the primary path system, and also bleed air is sucked in to the secondary barrel through the secondary path system past the one way valve; but, when only the primary barrel is opened, bleed air is sucked in to the primary barrel through the primary path system, but no bleed air is sucked in to the secondary barrel through the secondary path system, and the one way valve prevents reverse flow of air from the secondary barrel through the secondary path system and thencefrom into the primary path system towards the primary barrel.

    摘要: A compression-ignition type internal combustion engine comprising a combustion chamber and an accumulation chamber which are interconnected to each other via an accumulation valve. The opening operation of the accumulation valve is controlled so that the accumulation valve remains opened during the compression stroke. In the first half of the compression stroke, a jet of air is spouted into the combustion chamber from the accumulation chamber to create a strong swirl motion in the combustion chamber. In the latter half of the compression stroke, the air in the combustion chamber flows into the accumulation chamber where the air is accumulated under high pressure, which air is then spouted from the accumulation chamber into the combustion chamber at the next cycle.

A single common connecting passage and branch connecting passages which are connected to the common connecting passage are provided. Each of the branch connecting passages opens into the respective intake port in the vicinity of the rear face of the valve head of the corresponding intake valve.
