More particularly, embodiments of the computer system include an acoustic cavity defined between the loudspeaker, the main logic board, and the hermetic seal. Embodiments of the computer system may include a compressible seal separated from the hermetic seal by the loudspeaker and/or the main logic board. The compressible seal may define an acoustic channel and the loudspeaker may emit sound in a high frequency range through the acoustic channel toward a system exit.     摘要: An electronic device whose enclosure or housing panel is used as part of an acoustic system is described. The panel is divided into several sub-panels. For each sub-panel, the device includes one or more actuators attached to vibrate the sub-panel. The actuator and its attached sub-panel convert an audio signal to acoustic output. Each actuator and sub-panel combination may receive a separate audio signal. The device includes a digital signal processor for controlling each of the sub-panel driving audio signals. The device may further include one or more backing frames that are attached to the panel to provide boundary conditions to the sub-panels. The boundary conditions define a resonance frequency for each sub-panel.

The signal processing system includes at least one transpositional gain controller processor for transposition of at least a portion of the amplitude of at least one band of frequencies in a lower frequency audio signal range of the audio signal, to an increased gain in at least one transpositional target frequency in the lower frequency audio signal range. The transpositional gain controller processor includes at least one of at least one, static or dynamic, transpositional gain controller. The system may include at least one additional signal processor, supporting preservation of a perceived fidelity of the acoustic output.

    摘要: A loudspeaker audio accessory provides and non-cable interface to a portable radio. The accessory can operate in conjunction with the radio or as a standalone device. An accessory loudspeaker is contained within the accessory housing, the accessory loudspeaker being positioned at a tilted angle within the housing to direct audio upwards towards audio porting located on a top surface of the accessory housing. The accessory provides a plurality of operational modes, the first mode of operation being a stand-alone mode generating an emergency alert audio tone via the loudspeaker in response to a switch being enabled; and the second mode of operation provides boosted audio via the accessory loudspeaker when the accessory is coupled to a radio. The accessory can also operate in conjunction with the radio via a short range link to selectively emergency signals and boosted audio.
