摘要： A control apparatus for an automatic transmission includes a torque calculator configured to calculate a torque required during a speed change for a hydraulic clutch at a target speed stage based on an output torque of an engine. A supply fluid pressure calculator is configured to obtain, from the calculated torque, a supply fluid pressure to be supplied to the hydraulic clutch by using a clutch friction coefficient. A fluid supplier is configured to supply the obtained supply fluid pressure to the hydraulic clutch to perform the speed change for an output of the engine through a gear corresponding to the target speed stage. A clutch plate temperature estimating device is configured to estimate a plate temperature of the hydraulic clutch. A fluid pressure correcting device is configured to correct the supply fluid pressure based on the estimated plate temperature.

摘要： A control system and method for adaptively controlling transmission ratio shifting in an electronically controlled transmission. A refueling event is detected. After the detected refueling event, fuel consumption is monitored for a predetermined period during which a change in composition of fuel to the engine reaches or approaches a steady state. During the period, the rate of adapting transmission shift controls is modified to respond quicker to the change in shift characteristics induced by differences in torque produced by the engine. Implementing this method can improve transmission shift quality while the quality of fuel reaching an engine is in transition.

The retarding system has an engine retarder associated with the power source and a controller in communication with the transmission, the manually operated braking mechanism, and the engine retarder. The controller is configured to determine a deceleration rate of the work machine and compare the deceleration rate of the work machine to a predetermined threshold rate. The controller is also configured to determined if the manually operated braking mechanism is active and to cause the transmission to downshift if the deceleration rate is less than the predetermined threshold rate and the manually operated braking mechanism is determined to be active. The controller is further configured to prevent the transmission from downshifting if the deceleration rate is less than the predetermined threshold rate and the manually operated braking mechanism is determined to be inactive.

摘要： A transmission for a vehicle includes a first gear set and a second gear set. A first plurality of elements are operable in an applied state and a released state and a second plurality of elements are operable in an applied state and a released state. A controller toggles the first and second plurality of elements between the applied state and the released state to achieve a desired gear ratio. The controller times entry of at least one of the first and second plurality of elements into: the released state with entry of at least another of the first and second plurality of elements into the applied state by controlling a hold pressure applied to the at least one element entering the released state. The controller determines the hold pressure by referencing current operating conditions of the transmission in a lookup table stored in a memory of the controller.
